They gave our kitten a microchip and she also got spayed. They did an excellent job and she was back to normal within a day.

We adopted a kitten for our five year old anxious kitty. They have become the best of friends. However soon after adopting her our cat started to show signs of Giardia. He hadn’t been around any other animals and was strictly indoor. It turns out she brought Giardia home from the humane society. I don’t want to write this review but am hoping to save someone else from a terrible experience or to urge workers to test their animals more thoroughly before adopting them out. Both cats have received 4 rounds of treatment and at one point received a clean testing. However it has caused our five year old kitty severe bowel damage and he has become very sick. We’ve now spent thousands of dollars on both cats trying to rid them of this awful parasite and they are once again showing symptoms (as it’s a very difficult thing to completely get rid of no matter how many times you bath them, treat them, scrub your house, etc.) I am beyond devastated that this has all happened because we love our cats very much and it breaks my heart that there was such negligence. Her paperwork even stated that she had dealt with some diarrhea but that it had cleared up before adopting her. PLEASE get your pets tested for parasites etc before bringing them home to other pets. My heart is broken for my 5 year old cat who has been suffering immensely physically throughout the last several months. I am a big advocate of adopting out of shelters but this has made me much more hesitant.

Good price. Was able to get an appointment in about 2 months for two dogs. Incisions look good.

These people flatout ignored my adoption request for weeks then when I called they told me I couldn’t because a relative of mine had a bad reputation with them. Go elsewhere!

This shelter is so clean and the staff is incredible. They have all been life savers with all the advice they have given to help me take care of 4 very young kittens we found in our yard. The animals that they have up for adoption appear to be very healthy and the cat enclosures are spotless! If looking to adopt, definitely come here!!

I had my kitten spayed here. They were super timely, kind, and helpful. It was much more affordable as well. The only snag was that it takes a while to get in. I think the earliest we could book the appointment was 3-4 months out. But we had a great experience, and our kitten recovered quickly.

I was fostering one of their puppies who had a rough start to her life. I fell in live with her and adopted get. I couldn't have asked for better people and the help and information I got about her. Thus is a fantastic place . Adopted don't shop!

Was helpful showing animals available for adoption. They make a great effort matching people with special needs animals. They have a lot of volunteers who play and interact with the animals. Unless you live in the area it's a bit inconvenient, because multiple visits may be required before you can adopt a pet. They have better selection of pets than Saginaw, Bay City, and Midland.

We got moki may (shelter name acapella) from here back in September of last year. She was about 9 months old. Grew up in in the shelter. She was scared but with tons of love and cuddles she is now my daughters support animal. We love her so much. Also thankful for all that HATS does for community fur babies and the ones in the shelter. They get so much love there.

I was just dropping off a donation this time, but we adopted our old cat from here. We were so lucky to be able to have him for the short year we had him - thank you to HATS for giving him a home before we adopted him :)
