“Last weekend, I was driving south on Gratiot when a blinking message came up on my Mini telling me to pull over as my car had overheated and to not open the hood. Looking for a place to pull over, I saw an auto repair place, so I pulled in.

They were just closing up shop after cleaning up their garage bays. One of the mechanics came over and I explained my dilemma. He was kind enough to open my hood, check out the coolant, add some coolant and check a few other things on the engine.

I thanked him profusely, and asked him how much I owed for the on-the-spot service. He refused to take any money from me, saying that he was happy to help out. I almost fell over!

I then looked up at the name of the business (Redline Automotive) and told him that I used to use a company named Redline Automotive that was located on Harper Avenue in St. Clair Shores and that I really missed them being available to service our family's cars.

Surprise, surprise - it turns out that they were the same Redline Automotive! They had moved to Mt. Clemens from their old location because of a landlord issue. I told him about our family's long history of service with Redline and how his willingness to help me out of a jam was just as I would have received many years ago when they were in St. Clair Shores.

The moral of the story? There are too few businesses left that truly care about customer service and treating their clients they way they want to be treated. Do yourself a favor if you are looking for an honest, reliable auto service center - go to Redline Automotive!!”

“I was driving around trying to find a open place to get an oil change, this place was supposed to open at 8, he opened a little later. I pulled up around 8:25 and as I was about to pull off, they were pulling in. I thought that the oil change was a little pricey however the service overall was done in a professional way. I was shown a large damaged screw from a previous oil change somewhere else and since he had one he replaced it for free. The little things matter to me especially when it comes to service. I was in and out in no time.”

“I had a car shipped from out of state and it had some upper valve train noise that I recorded. I called Bruce at Heads Up and he asked if I could come right over. After seeing and listening to the video, he said there was an issue and he'd call when I could bring it in. The call came and once there he said he'd pull the valve covers and see what was going on. A few hours later, I get a call. I was expecting a bad news call. Instead, it was to tell me he was done and come get it. Valves and rocker arm adjustments and the valve train was quiet. “I can't say enough good things about Matt (owner). I started going to him a little over 4yrs ago. I bought a car from a lot and when it broke just days later they said Motor Medic takes the warranty (the warranty the car lot failed to file) Matt worked with me and helped me get everything straightened out. I then started using him as my mechanic, and trust my lemon had problems. Less than a year later it was totally done for. I then purchased a vehicle from Matt. Best little car I've ever owned! I never had anything go wrong with it outside of normal wear and tear for the 2.5yrs I had it. Today I was in an accident and that car was totalled. I went straight to Matt, who really knows me by now and he had me in another vehicle within hours. I have never had a single issue with any repairs he has ever done. These guys knew exactly what we needed sold us to stuff handed it to us within seconds. athe staff is extremely knowledgeable and I'll be honest at this point I don't care about price I would gladly pay double to deal with people at a store like this versus a change store.”

“I was in a seriously awkward position when I needed their services! I haven't had a flat tire in over a decade! This was the the direct result of Nissan of Macomb selling me a "certified preowned with janky a** tires! Nonetheless I knew I needed to get it fixed for safety reasons. As I sat in my car contemplating what I should do since nowt tire was all the way flat I searched and found these guys on Google with a ton of great reviews. I got my car towed here and didn't have a clue what to expect. Well expect nothing. It's a building that keeps workers warm in between fixing cars and tires. Not much to look at, but I didn't come to look I came for a new-used tire right? Well it took about 30 minutes from the time the tow guy took my car off the tow truck and when I paid! I stayed warm inside they changed my tire outside. It was inexpensive right at $40. I was able to get back to work within my lunch break window! I will use them if needed again! “So let’s start off with if your car ends up here it’s your own fault for not handling your bills or taking care of a car loan that you can no longer afford. Yes initially you’re pissed at the “repo” man for taking your car but really you should be mad at yourself. Anyways my car ended up being repoed here after losing my job in the summer and falling behind on bills. I ended up paying my loan current and scheduled a time to come pick my car up. The receptionist was very nice and understanding. When I arrived today she was still very nice and professional. Due to my car being a higher end sportier car it was separate from all of the other vehicles in a cement space. They allowed me to go in back and drive it out due to being a stick and also being a heavily modified vehicle and jumped the battery for me since it was dead. All of my belongings were in the same place I had left them, so no issues there. At the end of the day these guys and gals are just doing a tough job that I’m sure includes a lot of stressful situations from angry people. But just remember how it got to that point before pointing your finger, unless you’re standing in front of a mirror of course. My two cents.”
