Sales people are very knowledgeable and always "in- the- know" about the local, seasonal techniques to catch the most and biggest trophies the lakes and fields have to offer. Mitch is amazing!

I came to Johnsons Great Outdoors to look at bow sights and have my arrows cut. I was greeted immediately as I walked in the door. After a few minutes looking around another employee asked if I needed help with anything. As I was looking at bow sights another employee told me of some he had in the back and brought them out. All of the employees all showed interest in me being completely satisfied. Their prices may be a touch more than the big box store like cabelas, but I will support a local shop over a big box store or online company any day. Thank you Johnsons for the great product and great customer service. I will be back.

We went there and walked around for a solid 30 minutes before someone begrudgingly asked if we needed something. We finally explained we were looking for bows and got a slight eye roll since I’m a female. The guy said he had one left handed and took me back to shoot it, my boyfriend told him I’m a 25.5 draw and he handed me the bow. He said I must not be able to pull 40 back and my boyfriend said she’s pretty close but that draw looks too big for her. That’s when the guy said oh yeah it’s set for 30. The other guy changed it to 27 (as low as that one could go) and then when the original guy came back and asked if I was able to pull 40 back he laughed and said no. When I did perfectly fine at the 27 draw length it was just that my arm was too extended. This place is full of misogynistic dudes so if you’re a woman, I’d avoid this place.

Here’s the thing right decent selection but it’s all priced super high compared to like armstrongs or any other bait store! the customer service is not there like the cashier just stares at you the whole time and if you try to ask a question there just rude and when they do give answers it doesn’t make any sense like I asked them what I could use to catch some of the bass on beds and they told me to use worms on like a big walleye jig I bet it could work but I feel like there’s better baits to be used like a football jig or a creature bait and they didn’t really seem confident in there answers

For some reason anytime I go in there one of the guys just stares at me while I’m shopping it’s and it’s really uncomfortable. Also when I asked him what I should use for spawning bass he told me to use a top water frog. That just doesn’t add up. On top of that, there prices are really high. No thank you.
