I worked there at the shelter for two nights before life unfortunately took a turn for harder times and I could no longer make the commute. I was only paid for one of those nights. The shelter director, Tamyka Tucker, at first said something about needing to come up there to sign something to get the last check. Again, I have no ride so I emailed to ask if she could just mail it and I sign then mail it back..silence. It’s been weeks and she’s ignoring me and refusing to return my emails regarding payment for my second day worked. There’s cameras alll over that office and it’s so easy to see that I was there both nights. It’s easy to see that money as not much or worth the hassle but when you’re facing hard times every penny counts. I’ve never in my life been stolen from by a job and it’s ironic that a church and a pastors wife would be the first to do it. I’m defeated and frustrated but not surprised. This place should be ashamed of itself.

Amazing place. My family and quite a few friends donate time to serve food to those in need. We need more of this for not just our community but our country.
