I visited the Monroe Resale Store on LaPlaisance Rd. to find something to stack my firewood indoors for my fireplace for the cold winter days coming up. I asked Jim B. if there was something available, anything I could use... he knew right away what I needed. He showed me exactly what I needed, just for indoor wood to be loaded onto. He also showed me how to put it together... and the 2x4's for the bottom railing. Thank you so much Jim ... I now have my wood piled high in my fireplace room ready to use. For a place that gets most of their stock given to them . I was shocked to find out they don't have an HVAC tech to check out the refrigerators. None of the refrigerators were clean. They give a 7 day guarantee. Nothing like kicking the poor when they are down. The salesman was very rude. For those that donate to this place . I think if you are donating to actually help others that are unfortunate enough to afford a new appliances. Post an add for free. Very disappointed and felt like I wasted time and fuel even going there. I did call ahead however when I got there. The story was much different.

Went there to get something. Was told one price by one person. Some other people walked up to look at the same item. Another guy walks up tells one gentleman $8 but then tells us a completely different price of $10. So they very much ripping people off there. So if it's not priced don't bother.

Went in here on a Friday afternoon looking for a cabnit to go next to my stove so my kids could not reach the hot burners. I was able to find something that worked the piece did not have a price on it. I took it to the front desk to ask for a price the gentleman in a pink shirt said $25 and I tried explaining I only have $15 as I am a low income family. He screamed at me $25 and walked away. I have never been so embarrassed in my life. I'm just trying to protect my kids with the little funds I have.

Store always looks nice. They are a second hand shop yet they also have new items in there also. Some things seem a little over priced sometimes. Always greeted with a Smile and Hello from whomever is working.

I normally don't rate these places but this particular one I have to say I like it alot in the staff is amazing I would definitely recommend this place to anyone God bless all of you at Habitat for Humanity Big 5 star:-) if I could give you guys more Stars I definitely would give you way more stars:-)
