After having a terrible experience at my vet when it came time to let my cat go, my husband called VCS and they were able to get us in to help. Putting an animal down is so incredibly hard but they were so gentle and caring.

Doctor Mair is wonderful and repaired,(TPLO’s), both knees on my one dog Zelda. The nurses and staff were very polite and courteous as well! Thanks VCS of Milford!

Let me preface by saying I am a veterinary technician with multiple years of experience in emergency, critical care and general practice. This clinic, especially Dr. Prudente are an absolute joke and will take advantage of you in any possible. They misdiagnosed my cat back in January as not having pancreatitis despite an abdominal ultrasound strongly indicating it. Today, my mom brought my cat in for sedated bloodwork to get a refill of her medication as I’m out of state currently. What was supposed to be a $150 blood panel was actually a $280 blood panel. My mom was severely misquoted at the time of making the appointment. No estimate was provided to her before services being rendered despite my mom telling them multiple times that she is DISABLED and on a FIXED INCOME. They just took my cat, sedated her and collected the blood and urine sample and sent my unknowing mom up to check out and received a bill for $500. That is over HALF of her monthly income. They set an expectation for my mom at the time of booking and completely ignored it and now will not own up to their mistake. My cat also JUST had bloodwork done at another hospital within this year, but they will not accept that bloodwork with the horrible and vague explanation of “that’s not how things work.” Yes, it is how things work. The type of bloodwork they charged my mom for gets sent out to a third party laboratory, the same one the hospital I currently work at uses. I know how easy it is to cancel a test before it has been sent to the lab, which is has not. When my mom went back up there to ask for a refund per my guidance, they refused and instead only offered her $20. We are not expecting a refund for the exam or the sedation, just the bloodwork that HAS NOT BEEN RAN YET and is sitting in a fridge awaiting collection, but this scummy corporate owned clinic will not do what is right and is instead taking advantage of a DISABLED woman. I hope you guys are happy knowing that you have misled and robbed my mom out of over 50% of the income that she needs to survive. I will be further perusing this and I will not be letting this go.

We have visited this clinic a few times since moving to Milford. The first time, in 2021, this was an emergency clinic but they had a hard time finding staff and the wait was long. If I had only our 2021 visits to base this review on, I would give it 2 stars. However, we started going back in 2024 because they have changed their model and brought in some great experienced Vets. They are no longer an emergency clinic but simply a normal vet office. They've done a good job with our dogs and cats so far and I plan to go back. I only have 4 stars because our experience so far has been for routine items and I can't comment on more complex care.

Dr. Tokar was amazing as was her staff. Levi had to have a cracked tooth extracted and I was very worried. They assured me he would be just fine and he was! They even called to check on him the following day. Such compassionate staff and doctors. ❤️

Absolutely wonderful care and service. Due to an unusual situation, they handled a very feral young cat I trapped under my house with empathy and skill even though it tore the vet tech's hands to shreds. They put a little anesthesia in her to calm her in order to be able to handle her. It did the trick, and at the end I asked how much I owed, they said nothing, because I was just trying to help find out if the cat had an owner. How nice was that!?! Great people working hard at this vet. Mind you, I take my cat there also and they always do a great job.
