Just purchased a brand new vehicle at my local dealership thinking these guys are reputable and honest. Wow was I wrong.
We are retired and do not put a lot of mileage on a car, I elected not to purchase extended warranties including engine, interior, paint, LoJack, and a few others.
The vehicle had no damage on it in the dealers lot
The salesman delivered the car to us and a hole was discovered in the drivers seat. The damage was brought up to his attention and again he attempted to sell us an interior protection plan. Then while the car was at the dealer the next day in the service area, it was returned with additional damage on the exterior. I did not notify the dealer only because they would simply deny the damage.
I went to the dealer a few days later to remind them of the refund they owed me from a LoJack accessory they added to my financing and they said the car has it.. I told them I would have an independent mechanic confirm that and suddenly they told me the car doesn’t have LoJack.
They eventually gave me my refund check for the LoJack scam and the salesman approached us near the car and began mumbling some nonsense about if I ever need him again, to call him as he twice nervously turned his head and glanced at the small paint chip on the door. A chip that was so small that you would have to know it’s there.
The car had only been in my garage for a few days with no objects to cause that scratch.
Stay away from this place if you don’t want to have to deal with scumbag tactics to try to get you to buy dealer add ons and when their plans fail, they continue damaging the car because their feelings are hurt they didn’t make all those commissions.
This particular sales rep has quite possible used this practice in the past and it resulted in success for him and his employer or former employers.
Should he continue to use this practice, I would hope his employer would come to their senses and begin to see a pattern if they already have not.
Hopefully then, his short span of time with Betten Baker will come to an end.
As for the seat of my 55k vehicle, two attempts to fix it have failed and the hole is still visable all due to the greed and dishonesty of a sales rep. Your a p.o.s.
