Even though an address change was submitted for our move, Horizon Bank continued to send our statements to our previous residence in another town. They repeatedly charged us $10 per statement returned and another $10 to transfer money out of our savings to pay the fee. The insisted we needed to visit the branch in person so that they could rectify the problem, then after making us wait for an hour, refused to give us a full refund. They gave conflicting reasons for the mailing error saying it was changed on savings but not checking, then saying we needed to file separate change of address forms even though we live at the same residence . Fees were excessive and unwarranted. We closed all of our accounts and will no no longer do business with Horizon Bank

This bank has given me nothing but problems. I got transferred over from TCF. Trying to close my account but dealing with fees because I was put into an account that required $2500 even though at the time my account only had $35 in it. Just seems sketchy to me. I wish I could give it 0 stars!

I have been trying to close my mothers account. I was the representative on that account. Horizon wants a Letter of Direction from Probate Court. Probate Court does not know what a Letter of Direction is. The phone number Horizon gave me for Probate Court is the same one I called yesterday. They still don't know what a letter of direction is today.

Apparently it is a practice for this bank to harass people into using their services via unsolicited emails and by ignoring requests to not contact you. Their Loan Officer, Mandy Loeb was just totally aghast that I would be offended by their unsolicited contact of a private individual, making claims as if they know my financial state and insinuating that I NEED them to assist on the "financial impact" I suffered in 2020. Nothing but Sharks circling to feed off the misfortunes of others. Go to Isabella Bank where they actually work with THEIR customers instead of headhunting public forums.
