The hotel here is in good condition, but the air conditioner in the room is very loud. In order to sleep well at night, we can only turn off the air conditioner. The breakfast here is lackluster! The only self-service waffle machine that attracted me was unfortunately out of service during our stay??????Come here and don’t have high expectations for breakfast

Special shout out to sales director, Brook, with StayBridge Suites/Courtyard Okemos. (And the sweet woman I originally spoke with)
Our almost one year old baby Kenny has been in his castings most of his little life. He’s missed out of lots of swimming, hardly having bath routines. Since he has finally been corrected, his Grandma is giving him a hotel room with her gift certificate! She’s been saving it for this exact occasion. However, we literally just found out courtyard actually doesn’t have a pool. I was so sad but thanked her. Could’ve been end of conversation.
Instead, the sweetheart went above and beyond making it clear not to get our hopes up, but that she would talk to the Sales Director, to see if we could possibly transfer to their affiliate hotel, in which does have a pool. I thanked her so much and if they can’t I totally understand that I just appreciated her even trying. She took my name, number and email, in which Brook confirmed that they could switch it for us. They literally made our year with their kindness. To a stranger. I’d love to say customer but they already did their job. She was so polite, gave me my answers and could’ve ended it there, as I was already satisfied although a little disappointed about the situation.
Thank you ladies so much for your warm hearts and compassion for my baby! We will take plenty pictures!

We stayed at this hotel in the middle of their renovations and our first night had a room that had all sorts of issues with fridge, air conditioning, lights, TV. We explained the issues the next morning and the staff went above and beyond to make it all right. Everyone from the maintenance staff to front desk to housekeeping responded with great help and concern for us having a great stay! The different crews worked well together and seemed to have top notch communication between teams, which doesn’t always happen at hotels. They moved us into a room the next day that was freshly renovated plus I received a personal call from the manager who did everything he could to make it right. Things go wrong when you stay at hotels, especially during renovations, but when you have a staff and management team committed to guest satisfaction that will overcome small issues any day of the week! I would stay here again without hesitation. Location is great for events at the Livestock Pavilion as well and several nice restaurants right in the same block.

Most reviews are outdated.
They started renovating on my stay with the Pool, gym, and most of the first floor closed. However the 2nd floor and 3rd floor were fully renovated.
Their breakfast was decent, there were lots of fruit flies located in the breakfast area.
Overall a wonderful stay with 2 tiny inconveniences that aren’t that big of a deal.
Rooms: Renovated

I stayed here because I had a licensure exam super early in Holt, MI. When I arrived, the place was under significant construction. They didn't have their social hour because the "lady didn't show up," and the pool was closed. If I would've known their pool was closed and they were under construction I absolutely would have stayed somewhere else...I was looking for peace and quiet before my 5 hour exam and unfortunately that's not what I got. I do enjoy staybridges typically, but not this one right now.

Horrible experience at this hotel. We were charged for days we did not reserve and are still fighting to be refunded. Management is is rude and difficult to deal with. We made our reservation 3 months in advance. When we arrived to check in we were told they overbooked and we didn’t have a room. Since they overbooked, they decided they would not only change our reservation days without our consent, but also charge us for a day we did not need nor did not have in our original reservation. This whole experience has been a nightmare. Do not stay here.
Edit to add a response to the owners response. This ABSOLUTELY DID happen at this location, The Staybridge Suites in Okemos Michigan.
Noteworthy details: Horrible management

In town for 3 days for training. I picked this hotel for the location. This being said, the staff is very pleasant and helpful. However the rooms are less than desirable. The first room I had was a queen suite. You could see the fingerprints from the previous occupants in the counter, the remote control and the tv. There were food crumbs on the floor and couch as well. The remote didn't work and they did not have a replacement. So they placed me in a different room. This one was no better. Very dirty and dusty. Fingerprints could and be seen along with some tags from recently purchased clothing and a tan cooler on the floor. It was obvious it wasn't vacuumed. There was a black curly hair on a towel in the bathroom, you can't make this up. The beds are quite uncomfortable being overly firm. The phones were both very dirty covered with greasy fingerprints and did crumbs. The hotel overall is quiet and you can't hear outside noises which is a plus. It did offer first storage for long term stays. The lobby is inviting and somewhat clean. It offers 24 hr gym and laundry services. Overall I would not recommend this hotel currently.

The room was partially updated, (BathroomArea). The rest of the room was starting waiting for its update. A light bulb was missing from one of the lamps on the bed nightstand.

Stayed here for a week, Sunday-Friday with my wife and three kids and was less then thrilled. The gal at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. Simplest way to put the rest, room did not feel clean. The only thing that brought us there was that there was a kitchen for kids and wife while I was in my training class. But wasn’t worth the money for sureHad to come back and write more for others. The dishes were in the dishwasher dirty, bed did not smell fresh, when we booked our room it was noted that there was 5 of us and we had three towels went to front desk for more and got one because that’s was all they had. The entry/exit door closest door to our room, had a 5 gallon bucket overflowing with trash next it our whole stay and trash scattered in the yard as well as dog poop everywhere each time we went outside I had to remind my kids to watch out for dog poop. There was hairs in one of our beds. As well as absolutely filthy bed skirts. Luckily we had brought our own blankets for the feel of home.Do yourself a favor and look for another place to stay.Rooms: once we got into our room it smelled like the kitchen of a bad Italian restaurant. The counters and tables were not wiped down Simplest way to say it, room did not feel clean.

Chose to stay here due to them being pet friendly and couldn’t have been more disappointed. When I stayed here in the past years, it was nothing like what I experienced at my recent visit. Front desk staff is not friendly - first impressions are always key and this one was terrible. The entire property is run down and dirty. Trash outside, carpets look like they haven’t been cleaned since the construction of the hotel. The pool is rather large for a hotel but severely neglected. Breakfast looks like something I wouldn’t even feed an animal. The only semi positive thing I could say is the rooms were decently clean. Not up to my standard but they were decent. Clearly all staff needs more training or needs to be replaced.

Service was okay and rooms were clean. But the size of a king suite was pretty tiny for the price.

Pros: Check in went smoothly, the guy who checked us in was fast, funny and helpful. Breakfast was amazing and the location of the hotel is very convenient.Cons: Pool was cold and so dirty/cloudy, there is no hot tub. The suite we had, you could not control the temperature for two rooms. One was hot and one was cold. There was food in the fridge. The bed wasn’t as comfortable as IHG hotels usually. We also had so many lady bugs in our room.Nearby activities: Short drive to do anything you’d be interested in.Food & drinks: Right by highway and many gas stations/food options.
