I was lucky enough to get a merino wool dble stitched hat as a Christmas gift. I wore it for the first time walking the dog this morning, was toasty warm on this 7 degree UP winter morning. As a knitter, I can also confirm that it's well made.

ALWAYS CALL FIRST. We are ONLY open by appointment. Michigan Merinos and Happy Goat Lucky Ewe Fiber Farm is a sheep farm offering wool to crafters, as well as finished products including hats, socks, mittens and hand dyed yarn. Ours is a working farm, if you don’t call ahead, we may be out on the back 40 and we’ll miss you.
Each year we hold one event on the farm, a Holiday Open House on the second Thursday, Friday and Saturday in November. It is in conjunction with the Mason Holiday Craft Trail.
Our raw wool is pre-sold to a sweater company and a yarn company. We keep 50 pounds each year for our products, which can be purchased from the wool shop. Once our products are sold out, you have to wait an entire year to buy.
