EDIT: 6 years later ... still taking my cars here anytime I need something and always feel well taken care of.

Thank you Mason Muffler & Brake Repair!!!
My son lives in Mason while attending college. We are from the Grand Rapids area, we had no idea who was a trusting repair shop. I called Mason Muffler and they were amazing to talk to. They set me up with a cheap and reliable tow truck agency. The truck picked up and dropped off to Mason Muffler within an hour. They diagnosed the truck and found the problem. They gave me the cost to fix it and it was very fair!!! They called me as soon as it was done, and they were super quick!!!!!!!!!! My son went to Mason Muffler to pick up the truck. I asked him how it went picking up the truck. He said, “they are super cool!!”
This is the first time I have ever rated a company. It was needed!! So anyone out of the area and in the area can easily find a reliable place to take their vehicles!! Thanks again

John fixed the brakes on my wife's car in one day. When I picked up her car, I left my car with him to fix the muffler on, which he completed the following day. He did a great job on both. Him and his wife are very friendly. I recommend getting work done here!

I'm always nervous as a woman to go to any mechanic, but this family was wonderful!! I can't say enough nice things about them! I had my muffler brake while visiting from the UP. They got me in SUPER quickly and were even able to do my brakes, rotors, tire rotation along with the muffler repair for a great price. It was awesome to feel safe driving back home. I would highly recommend them!

I was told it was first come first served (i called in advance to avoid wasting my day off lol) and after an hour of waiting for mason muffler and brakes to open @ 9 a.m. the owner told me he had too many cars already in queue from the night before! That's THE OPPOSITE OF FIRST COME FIRST SERVED! On top of wasting my time he was also sarcastic and rude! NEVER AGAIN!!!

I am terrified of having work done on my car. I don't know what is happening, what needs to be done, how much it will cost. I had been to a Firestone store for an alignment, and they told me my brakes were fine. Well...no they weren't! I had a car that was sounding louder and louder and I knew the exhaust system needed work. John took the time to explain to me what was happening with the extensive part of my exhaust that needed replacement, and evaluated my brakes. And those definitely needed to be changed. He ordered the part I needed for the exhaust, replaced it (big project!) and turned my rotors and installed new brake pads, in one day! My car is like new, and a bonus is that my gas mileage has improved a lot! I will be seeing John (and his lovely wife) for any future work I need done. I trust him, and I know he won't suggest doing something not needing done. Highly recommend!
