5.21.21 edit: Here's an email I just received from SBS, Please choose wisely when looking for a management company, you just might get this response:Sarah Mitchell11:56 AM (25 minutes ago)to ROBERT, Kayla, BirchwoodI didn’t respond because you already had your answer that, no, they won’t be removed, per the board’s decision.Since engaging in an email standoff with you is an absolute waste of my time, and the ensuing unpleasantness that radiates from every interaction I have had with you, I simply waited for the next month and continued to apply your payments as was previously explained. I’m not in the business of repeating myself in an attempt to change someone’s mind, I’ll make this email clear that you still owe a balance and it will not be removed from your ledger.You should be receiving a certified letter in the mail in regards to the past due balance on your ledger.Again, if you have questions, you can refer to the Birchwood Condo Association Bylaws in regards to late payments and the collection of fees. It is located under Article II, Section 4.Since this appears to be a troublesome aspect to grasp, I have included the portion in regards to late payments in this email.And stated as before, failure to bring the balance current is completely your choice and SBS will continue to follow the bylaws of the Association. Payments will go to the oldest invoice on the ledger, and with the balance not being made current, you can be subject to late fees for the shortage on the incorrect payment of monthly dues.As a reminder, once an account reaches 3 months or $300.00 in arrears, it is policy to forward the account to the Association’s legal department for collection, which may include lien and/or foreclosure. Any legal fees incurred to acquire payment of all past due amounts will be added to the co-owner’s ledger.I sincerely doubt it will happen, but try to enjoy your weekend!Previous Review: SBS is very slow to respond, even though we have in our contract they are to respond to emails with in 5 business days. They do not. Others in our association has been hung up on, yelled at or haven't heard back. They are cheap as far as management company's go though, so they saying is correct here. "You get what you pay for." They do not check their mail each day & charge late fees if they haven't "received" they payment prior. Trying to get a response is like pulling candy from a baby. This is my honest and true review of my personal experiences with this company.

Thank you SBS for exceptional service!! Staff called me and handled my maintenance issue on the weekend after business hours! Professional and pleasant!! Highly recommend!

Despite promising to send a proposal for services by 5/7/2021, our association has heard nothing from SBS. Not the promised proposal by email, not the promised proposal by mail, not even a phone call. At this point my vote would be to not use SBS as a management company for our association. Negative contact with a potential new client does not inspire confidence.

Don't EVER buy a place where SBS Management is in charge of Maintenance! It's been a year next week since I bought my place and they still have yet to respond to fix anything including some Major Issues. I've been trying to get them to respond since 10/18 of last year...If I had money I'd move.

SBS has been great to work with. They are transparent with their documentation and really care about their associations. I feel we are lucky to have them on our association!!
