Rooms: Very large rooms with comfortable beds. But the bathtub in the bathroom was very slippery. Needs to have some kind of grip put on the bottom so someone doesn't fall In the shower and get hurt.
Nearby activities: It's fantastic that right across the street is the start of the boardwalk and you can walk right along the lake. Fantastic that you can walk right across the street and see the sunrise or sunset over the lake.It's beautiful.

I understand new owners recently took over. Everything was great, for $64 a night the rooms were bare bones but recently renovated. New bedding and you could still smell the fresh paint. No carpet in the rooms which is also nice. Breakfast was good with a waffle maker. For $64 you can’t beat it and this is definitely not your typical econolodge, which I would typically try to avoid. Would definitely come back if I’m in the area.

We checked into our room on a Saturday night. The room was just renovated so it was nice. There were many breakfast items available in the morning. The only issue we had is that someone was trying to get into our room as we were in it. Turns out the front desk worker had assigned another person and key to our room accidentally. Always lock with your dead bolt. If it wasn't locked, they would've been in our room.

What a great experience here at this Econolodge. Aside from being affordable, the check in experience is unexcelled. and I speak from experience as my wife and I have made multiple cross country trips over the past 12 years. We crossed the UP (Upper Peninsula, Michigan) today and had booked this Econolodge while en route. The gentlemen checking us in, a brother in law of the owner, could not have been friendlier or more enthusiastic about explaining not only the features of the hotel, but the sites to see in the area. This Econolodge is located directly on US2, and across the street from the boardwalk on Lake Michigan which tonight offered a spectacular sunset view. But, I digress. The room is immaculate, and to our surprise, included a jacuzzi. The place is, in a word, spotless. One of the nicest places at any price we have stayed in over the past dozen years. If you're traveling to or through Manistique, you won't go wrong in staying here.

Pleasantly surprised at the quality of this hotel! Rooms were very large and lots of extras (loveseat, desk, etc). Very quiet for being right on US2. Good breakfast, friendly staff, clean room. Only downside was the shower which started out with super hot water then went to cool water after a few minutes. But a great stay and I would recommend it for the price which was reasonable.

I like that you can pull up to the rooms, but there's an interior hallway. My room was clean and had a sliding glass door with a screen. The bed was a little thin but comfortable. The guy at the front desk was friendly and helpful with what stores were open. It's also right across from Lake Michigan with a little boardwalk within walking distance.

The service was top notch. Location was perfect, and the rooms were spacious and clean. Breakfast and decor need a little upgrade. Over all great.
