They don't refill perscriptions without a doctor's visit. Booking a physical is about 5 months out. I like the physicians here but I am just frustrated with how this office runs. Just got my $160 out of pocket charges for an office visit that really should've been considered preventative care.I never felt so ripped off for medical care in all my life. I will need to shop around for a new doctor's office.

What an amazing office with excellent doctors and staff! It feels good to be treated as a patient and not a paycheck and also good to be listened too! I normally see Dr. Talbert but have seen everyone else here as well, as I have been going here for 12 years and they are all wonderful!

I have been a patient of Preferred Medical Group for approximately 15 years and and a patient of Dr. Ustruck for approximately ten years. I have always been more than satisfied with the care and attention I have received, especially from Dr. Ustruck. Her medical expertise, knowledge and professionalism is the reason why, after moving 75 miles away, I still make the drive to retain her as my primary care physician. Also why I have referred my daughter and three of my four grandchildren to her for care. The fourth still sees her pediatrician. Besides all that she is an overall nice person that I know I can trust for more than just medical advice.I highly recommend Preferred Medical Group and Dr. Ustruck in particular.

This is why we don't go to doctors. We left with the impression that my husband was being written a prescription for blood pressure medication. It never got called in. I call the after hours line and left a message saying we urgently needed this prescription. Nobody ever called back. He called them after the holiday weekend and they acted like they didn't know anything. They thought he should go to the emergency room. This is America where nothing is affordable so that's a big no. We are doing fine. We don't need the ER. We just need a little help and some medication to help with the blood pressure. These people put him in a (figurative) box and just dismissed it like nothing. They won't take care of you. They'd rather let you die. This is why we don't go to doctors.

I've been a patient at Preferred Family Medical Group for several years now.The location can't be beat with proximity to I-75 and Twelve Mile Road and abundant parkingn. I appreciate the variety of providers available. Their extended hours are a major plus. If you can be flexible, appointment times for non-emergent situations are fairly plentiful at shorter notice. In-house labs and x-rays also reduce the need to go elsewhere for common bloodwork, labs or panels.Lately they've switched over to Athena Health and it's significantly easier to track appointments, messages, test results, and patient information than prior. This is a new system so I'm waiting to add another star for an improved system to communicate.Drawbacks for this practice are the difficulties I've had in the past getting test results or nurses to call me back about prescriptions or having prescriptions refilled. These challenges occurred primarily before and during 2020 when I started seeing a specialist to manage the condition I need my medication for, which improved. Before, the pharmacy had to call several times to confirm a maintenance medication. Test results for a higher than usual result did not reach me in a timely manner in the past when it would've made a serious difference to my lifestyle, alas. However, they've gone the extra mile to get prior authorizations handled with my insurance company in a timely fashion. I had to come armed with information about what was approved and needed to ease the process.Doctors here I've seen are kind and compassionate, never totally rushed. The PAs are some of the best. They represent what you want in patient care.

Surprised by the bad reviews as another patient mentioned. There is an occasional slip up but overall my experiences have been great and very accommodating. Dr Carbajo has been great and all the PA’s. Obviously the whole pandemic has its affects on service times everywhere it seems but I can still get in at a pretty decent time.

I am leaving a review because I truly believe that they allow businesses to improve and be better. I have been a patient here since I was in elementary school. I am currently in my 30s. I’ve been a loyal patient even after moving an hour away because of the amazing doctors. Dr. Carbajo is fantastic! However, I have encountered such a headache with the billing department that I will be looking for a new doctors office. It has been smooth sailing with them until recently. It takes a lot of time on the patients end trying to get an incorrect bill fixed not to mention the stress it causes. I cannot go through this again.

They gave me an incorrect address, which caused me to show up late. My appointment was cancelled because I showed up late from receiving said incorrect address.

This is truly the worst care I have ever experienced. I am a patient there and went in in early January for terrible headaches. The doctor deduced it was a sinus infection and wrote a prescription for antibiotics. The headaches gradually lessened but I was still getting them every other day. Several weeks later the systems increased. The headache was nonstop, 24/7. I also started getting very nauseous regularly. I had dizzy spells. Then I started having issues with coordination and balance. I kept dropping things and tripping, and then began having issues with speech. I could speak but I kept getting words mixed up or was not able to think of what I was trying to say. I stumbled over my words regularly. This scared me so I called back. My doctor didn’t seem concerned at all and said it was just a bad sinus infection and put me on some steroids. The steroids didn’t help. I asked for a CT scan, it took several days for anyone to get back to me, and with an insurance that requires a referral, my appt was pushed out another week. I called the next day, which was a Thursday as the person who did the CT scan told me my doctor would have it end of day Wednesday. I finally heard back from the doctor’s office on Saturday where they let me know it was not a sinus infection at all, as the ct scan came back normal. I was told she’s sending me now to an ear, nose and throat doctor, whom I have to wait for another week for my referral to clear with. I asked if in the meantime she could give me an mri referral, just so I would feel less worried about it being something potentially serious. My answer was no, that the ear, nose, throat doctor would order that if they really felt it was needed. It’s now March. It’s been almost 3 months of misery and a doctor who does not care or provide any care. Stay as far away as possible if you can.I am going to add to my review, as there has been a conclusion. 7 months later I have been diagnosed with Lyme disease, unfortunately rather late in the game. My symptoms match Lyme Disease completely and always have. Lyme disease caught early enough is able to be treated by an inexpensive and short antibiotic. I'm now waiting to see how permanent the damage is to my body as it took so long to determine. Due to this facility and their arrogance, I have spent thousands of dollars and the majority of my year unable to function normally. My current medical bills have reached over $7000.00. I will be meeting with an attorney but I also want to reiterate, stay away from this practice. My current Primary has changed my life with their care. There are better places out there that will listen to you and not treat you like you should be seeing a psychiatrist.

I simply wanted a wellness exam and I booked the appointment one year in advanced because I have had to wait a while in the past before. My appointment was set for 3/3/2022. The day before my appointment on 3/2, they called and said the doctor had to cancel and reschedule, but their next appt wont be until 7/12/2022. I agreed, and now that I’m here (even came early) and waited 30 mins before I asked the front desk TWICE for them to tell me the doctor is running another 30 mins late. Are you kidding me?! I saw 4 people come in around the same time as me & went in after waiting a short while, but somehow my doctor was behind. This has happened too many times, so this is the last straw for me. I DO NOT recommend dr. Ustruck. Also, not only is this place unprofessional, they didnt even have the decency to tell me shes running late until I went up the 2nd time to tell them ive been there for almost 40 freaking minutes. Waste of my time. Even though I understand covid might be causing this in the past, but this is ridiculous. No decency to tell your client youre running late.
