When my wife and I first started going to DA, Big Al didn't even know how to pronounce Heckler & Koch, my wife being from Germany, had to correct his pronunciation (hahaha, you know who we are Al )After moving to Highland, and now Tennessee, we haven't made it back to the range in a long long time. Our hearts go out to you all at DA, shooting there was one of the most awesome things that has ever happened to us !!!!God Bless, and only the BEST for all of you !Rick and Lydia

It was one of the first ranges I went to when I moved here and its not bad. it was very clean, and the sales associates were very nice. I did have to wait for a little while to get into a lane due to the range being kind of small but overall, not a bad spot.

I’m sorry to see them close. I’ve been going there for about 15 years now. I always thought they treated me fairly and I always enjoyed my range time there. Best of luck to Al and the crew

I'm honestly glad they're closing, and I've never said that about any business. The owner is incredibly dishonest, and knows nothing about laws. When I was a teenager he claimed that helping my farther load his mags while he was on the range was a felony, and I was lucky he didn't call the police. That was actual insane behavior.Their employees also have absolutely no idea about gun safety, and repeatedly flag themselves and their customers, not to mention they are easily the rudest gun store employees I have ever met, and I've been to hundreds across America.I urge anyone not to spend money here, even with their closing sale. They do not deserve it.

My experiences with DA have been mostly good. I see many reviews, and reading between the lines it seems like a lot of ignorant people don't like being corrected when they show up with erroneous preconceived notions about firearms. That's what happens when you get all of your information about firearms from movies and other "popular" media. However, I have seen a nitpicky range officer or two there in the relatively recent past. Their ranges seem a bit dated and/or in need of renovations too. There is some room for improvement.

Visited this morning and listened to someone who clearly knew very little try to explain to a brand new left handed shooter that two models that are not ambidextrous at all were fully ambidextrous, because the mag release can be swapped and that’s all you need.Bad advice!

Al and Brian were fantastic. Great service, very friendly and engaging, and offered a wealth of helpful information about gun care and sales.

Went there for the first time a couple weeks ago, took a buddy who had just got his first AR so I wanted to help him zero his rifle and get him more comfortable. I am from Florida but have a pretty damn good understanding of Michigan state law. Some Dweeb who is the owners son can running up to me screaming as I was walking into the building telling me not to move I'm like WTF is going on? He snatches my rifle out of my hand and tells me I'm committing a crime and breaking state law because I do t have my rifle in a case. Not true at all obviously as Michigan has open carry laws that don't specify pistol or rifle, also I had no ammo on me and the magazine was separate from the rifle and the rifle transported in the trunk still not illegal. The red headed 4 eyed dweeb than refused to give me my rifle back until I purchased one of their crappy Chinese cases that probably won't even last a year. We finally get into the range and it's an absolute mess on the inside, you can't rapid fire you can't practice double taps you can't do anything that will actually help you get better at shooting. Take your money elsewhere seriously.

Very old out dated place. Their inventory used to be way better back in the day. The place smells like a cigarettes. Not the greatest customer service I bought a Trijicon credo and just wasn’t a great experience.
