Lots of good food to grab. I see a lot of people say that the workers there were unfriendly, but they were very friendly with me. I think it's a great place to go if you are craving certain foods.

My family comes here for the cheap vegetables. They have great prices and sales all the time on your Chinese staples like Napa cabbage, yu choy, bitter melon and more. They are constantly restocking their produce on Saturday mornings when it's the busiest. Bakery items are pretty good. Have yet to try their food court. It's usually always packed on the weekends and it's hard to navigate your shopping cart sometimes as there's always people in the way. Compared to Asian grocery stores I've gone to in Markham, Ontario, this does not even meet the same standard of organization and cleanliness; but it's Michigan where the Chinese population is small, so it's better than having no where to go to for your Chinese staples.

They have everything you would expect at an Asian Market. Many of their staff speak English too but some do not. Over all it's a great place! A little messy at times but very busy in there. More English signage would make it easier to find things...

In terms of selection, 168 is the best Chinese market in Michigan, and it's not even close. Produce, meats, seafood, pastries, rice, noodles, baozi, sauce/spice, kitchenware, booze, snacks, drinks, etc. We travel here (80 minute drive each way) every couple months for a big shopping trip. One of the coolest features is they have a small cafeteria in the back with a lot of options and decent pricing. At our most recent visit we had: * 热豆浆 (hot soy milk) * 麻辣烫 (spicy soup bowl) * 米线 (rice noodles) * 煎饼果子 (Chinese crepe) Attaching photos to this review. So you can have a nice meal before (or while) you're shopping. Great market. If we lived over here we'd be regulars.

Great place to shop for Asian food, including by people whose ancestors didn't come from Asia. I saw a lot of white Americans here too. Apparently Asian food is quite popular! ?

Good variety of Asian goods! There's a restaurant and pharmacy within the market as well.

Great place to buy Asian items. My husband and I became excellent cooks during COVID. Asian cooking became one of our favorites.

Come for the large, cheap vegetables, stay for the enormous selection of quality Asian food!I really cannot say enough good things about 168 Asian Mart! I started shopping here as a way to start experiencing hotpot at home with traditional Asian ingredients, but the more I shop here, the more new, delicious foods I discover. The vegetables are large, cheap and great quality. That section of the store is always busy, but always well stocked too! It's almost paradoxical, but despite the business I always am able to find the veggies I need. Then there's the dry foods section. You can get an enormous bag of dried mushrooms for bargain! Those are great to have on hand to spruce up any soup or whatever. They have a great selection of noodles too. I recommend the fresh belt noodles by the tofu. Last time I went, it was the only thing I was looking for that I couldn't find. Must be popular...!The fresh fish and seafood area is so well stocked I don't know where to begin. Live tilapia, sushi grade salmon, fillets of all kinds. I only wish I knew how better to prepare fish. I will have to find a good Asian recipe. Not only does 168 Asian Mart have excellent food selection, but they also have some cookware and utensils. I ended up getting a bamboo steamer basket from here and ever since, the steamed pork buns have been a household favorite. I cannot recommend those steamed buns enough!!! They are just past the vegetable aisle on the bottom shelf of the chiller. The glutinous rice balls with sesame were so savory and good the last time I got them. These can also be prepared in a steamer basket.Hot pot also has a dedicated section. I love hotpot because it brings everyone together to eat and it's dead simple to prepare. Always have some king oysters for your hotpot, and get an assortment of the fish balls! Just be warned, some of the hotpot stocks are quite spicy for someone not accustomed to Asian cooking, so if your family is not a family of spiceaholics, you may want to stick to the mild or unspiced variants. Please try this place out. It's a great way to experience other culture's culinary tastes, and it's not expensive at all.Would recommend!

It's bit far for me to visit on a regular basis, but when in the area, I try to stop by. Recently, stopped in to buy some live lobsters, the price was $9.99, which was the cheapest amongst all the Asian markets.I like that they offer variety of Asian products, food court and a lot of items that you cannot find in other Asian grocery stores. Prices are reasonable compared to other Asian grocery store, while there's plenty of parking spaces, it can get little hectic.Entrance to the store can be challenging, especially when they are busy. It would been nice to have separate entrance/exit. If you are in the area, swing by. There's also lots of dining area near by as well.

We were looking for herbal products, teas in particular. However, there was only one person to assist us. She was very helpful. The variety of teas was extensive.Excellent place to shop if looking for herbal products. Reasonable prices.

Never getting the BBQ from the booth in the back again. We asked for half a duck and a pound of BBQ pig. We watched the lady cut off a piece of the pig and go cut it, but somehow produced a box while we were looking at other things on the menu and said it was half a duck when we asked. Half a duck is about $17. The box was barely filled and there were barely any meaty pieces. Most of it had bone in the middle and we also got the head and neck, which doesn't have any meat.I always get BBQ from Zhang B-B-Q down the street, but we thought we could save a stop and just get it while we got our other groceries. I've never been given a duck head/neck before. 168 is awesome for groceries, but not the BBQ booth.

It ruined my mood for Thanksgiving dinner.

Such an enormous Asian market. They have a delicious food court and a crazy selection of fresh seafood. By far the biggest Asian market I've ever been in. This is the only place I've ever seen fresh still breathing king crab.
