EDITED ON 10/13/24 - I stand by my review below. I spoke with Eric on 09/25. He was very understanding and told me I would be issued a refund. This situation is somewhat complicated as someone else paid the bill. And Eric explained this to me.
What I didn’t mention in my original review is the damage to the wires as well as the alternator bolt not being tightened. The bolt was halfway out.
I hope future customers have better luck than I did.
My experience with Elder Hyundai was horrendous! It made me physically ill. I took my car in for recalls. Also, I requested diagnostic testing on the battery, alternator, and blower motor. Each diagnostic test was $170.
The communication between the service adviser and myself was subpar. I initiated text messages on three separate occasions. And I received only one phone call, which was on the day that I dropped off the car.
I started with recalls and ended up with a $1500 estimate. I decided to cut my losses at this point as was told I owed $340 for two of the diagnostic tests. Checking the battery & alternator can be done by an automotive store (ex. Auto Zone).
When the car was picked up, it was discovered that a nut was missing. See photos below.
On September 9, I received a text, phone call, and email to complete a survey. I attempted to rectify the situation before I posted this review. I was in contact with the service manager, who only corresponded through email.
To wrap up this review, Elder Hyundai needs to take a closer look at its promise. I will not be recommending this dealership to family or friends.

I would like to say that my experience at Elder
Hyundai started off not so good but, Jesus
Chaires is a great and I mean great salesman!
When we were ready to walk out the door with
nothing Jesus didn't give up. He worked with us
and for us to get what we wanted. I highly
recommend that if you are in the market for a
vehicle, consider going to Elder Hyundai on Hall
Road in Macomb, MI. Let Jesus help you get into a car, suv or electric vehicle. Oh, I purchased a Santa Fe suv.

Great experience! Samantha Bagley was wonderful - helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. This whole experience was so much better than the bate and switch we had at other dealerships. I will DEFINITELY recommend Elder Hyundai and especially Sanantha to family and friends. Totally worth the hour and a half drive.
