In looking for a dog trainer, Petco came very highly recommended. I called on Friday May 24th to get some information and was told the trainer was in training but i could find everything i needed on the website. When i mentioned that the trainings i was seeing were only for puppies, and my dog was 2, i was told to consider a one on one consultation where the trainer would meet with my dog and make recommendations. I was told how to book it and that the website and calendar were up to date. Much to my surprise, there was openings on Saturday evening (the next day), so i booked for 630 and paid for the session online. At 630 on Saturday i walked into the store to find that there was no trainer there. The sales associate had an attitude and was not helpful.. said the trainer had no appointments and called off. By the way, i received two email and text confirmations for my scheduled time. The associate walked away and told me to call customer service or said 'maybe he can help you' and pointed to the other guy at the cash register. I waited in line then and the guy (he was a manager) listened to my concerns, didnt have much to say and gave me a refund. (He mentioned that maybe my appt came through the night before after the trainer had left??) I then called customer service who said they would have someone call me but that has not happened yet. Its a shame that the trainer was pretty highly recommended but this left me with a crappy impression of Petco.
