We had our taxes done by Hema Wadhwa and during the review I questioned why we were being taxed on 529 paid directly to university for tuition. She said it was taxable. I verified by google search at home that it was not taxable. She filed an amendment to get us back around $500 of taxes. I asked her then for a refund of our original tax fee as they were done incorrectly. She put us off. I called several times but could not connect with her supervisor. I called Novi office and put in my request. It’s been 2 months and silence. I will not do business with them again. Better check that you didn’t pay tax on a 529 distribution as she said she had done the same tax filing for others with 529 withdrawals.

If I could give zero I would. I have been trying to paperwork back from this location since April. It was apparently shipped to Novi location. No one can find a folder or my paperwork. Therefore I cannot complete an amendment that I need to do.

DO NOT COME HERE! We had a 2:00 appointment today, that we made 5 days before. During our appointment she answered her phone about 10 times have conversations with them instead of treating us like a priority. We had a very simple return that just involves a W2, and due to her being on the phone it took over a hour. Also, the refund we did online we were receiving $1400 more then she came up with. Instead of helping us during our appointment she told us to just go home and email her a copy of the W2, when we could if emailed her right there, and proceeded to tell us it’s going to take a couple more days after she receives the Email. The lady that was working with us is Carol, and we didn’t feel like we had her attention during our appointment. If you are thinking about coming here don’t. This was our first interaction with them so I’m sure the same will happen to you.
