Marcus made working with this Lumber Yard so much easier than I could have hoped for, and their prices were cheaper than anywhere else I called - including big name stores where the wood isn’t even good quality. I ordered about $4000 of wood for a very long fence and haven’t run into a single twisted or crooked board. They delivered it to my house for free, and situated it in my driveway exactly as I requested. Even if I did find sub par boards, Gutherie said I could come in and exchange it no questions asked. I did a lot of calling and going to inspect wood at different locations due to the scale of my project and state of the market. I would absolutely without hesitation come back here for any other project I end up doing. If I reach the end of my project and need more boards, I will drive the 45 minutes to get more from them, rather than going anywhere closer. Absolutely stellar customer service, quality and pricing.

The worst experience EVER when trying to get help with a DIY project. To work at a lumber yard and NOT be able to LISTEN to a project a customer is explaining AND showing pictures of the project to get simple help with the lumber options is RIDICULOUS. BUT like you said it's Friday and you close in two hours. HORRIBLE!!!

Over the holidays we expected to complete foundation and back work on a tight lot, but that did not happen. We then failed to notify the good people at Gutherie Lumber and lumber was delivered as scheduled. Oops! The lumber pack closed off the lot so virtually no work could be done. My Gutherie salesman, Troy, suggested moving the lumber on site and arranged for a driver, Mark, to meet me on site. Mark was helpful, patient, cautious, efficient, and thoughtful. He essentially assembled a lumber puzzle using a Moffett. It was impressive to see.Gutherie is fortunate to have guys like Troy and Mark.

I did an internship with them and saw care and precision in all departments from sales, purchasing, customer service, logistics to upper management.
