We switched our business to a competitor and for 2 years struggled working with them. We missed John Hartlep, so in July we said goodbye to Jake and hello John.

Extremely poor customer service. Very difficult to get an actual person on the phone. They make incorrect changes to my home and auto policies every time they renew- they have added adult children who don't live with me to a policy, changed my marital status, added an adult child who doesn't drive nor own a vehicle to my policy, and also added him to my insurance refund. Last year when I bought a new vehicle, I waited on the phone for nearly 3 hrs. and was unable to get a live person who could add the new vehicle to my policy. I ended up having to take out a policy with Progressive just so that I could drive my new car home. Strongly discourage using AAA insurance.

I recently left aaa, having my car insurance and homeowner's with them, after being a customer for 5 years due to how I was treated by Chris Jacek. I was trying to have my husband added onto my policy so he could have his car insurance with aaa as well. I reached out to my agent, Chris Jacek, for a quote. He came back with a ridiculously high quote for him and also stated my personal car insurance would go up for adding him on as well. I didn't understand as my husband has good credit and a good driving record. I understandably questioned why. Chris Jacek told me (direct quote, I have the email) "Sorry I have no explanation, it is what it is." This was not how I expected to be treated after being a long time customer. I have been in customer service for my whole life and I would NEVER tell a customer "it is what it is". Because of him I looked into quotes from other companies (when I was happy with aaa) and got an insurance agent who cares along with a cheaper rate from State Farm! :) We moved my car insurance, my husband's car insurance and my homeowner's insurance over. I can forward the email to the manager of this location if they would like to know how he's speaking to their customers.

Trying to cancel policy which is being met with big time resistance, Required policy history information that should be issued the same day, but has a drawn out snail mail policy in place to make it very difficult to be provided information on your own policy. Doing a comparison they have been over charging a senior citizen for years. Shop around for your insurance before using AAA and John Hartlep AAA can say good by to a very long term member.
