HIGHLY recommend - I cannot say enough good things about UP Sunrise Cottages! We had the most amazing vacation - the resort is adorable, there is SO much to do, and the owners are the absolute BEST. I feel like we left with two new BFFs :-) We stayed in Cabin 6, which was recently remodeled, and it was cozy, clean, and had everything we needed - the washer/dryer in the unit was a huge bonus! We can't wait to return!

We just got home from a seven night stay in cottage 4. Angie, Jeff and family are great. The cottage was in great shape when we arrived. We had two families with a total of 8 people and it worked great. Angie and Jeff greeted us promptly after we arrived and continued to check on us throughout the week. Both Jeff and Angie took time to sit and talk with us multiple times. They were very genuinely trying to get to know our families. We felt so at home. The amenities were great. The kids had a great time all week on the aquapark, kayaks, paddle boats, 4RE and of course fishing. Angie, Jeff and their whole family are great people and put so much effort into making this a great family friendly place to stay. I cannot say enough about how great our stay was and I'd recommend this gem to anyone looking to spend some time in the U.P. What a great experience. Quiet nice cabins right on lake have everything you need. Great owners. If you have kids they will especially love it with all water features included, it was great to see kids playing on water toys and not just on a tablet or phone. I highly recommend this. Definitely will be back.

My family and I (wife and kids ages 11 & 9) just got home yesterday from a 5 day stay in Cottage 8. We had such a wonderful time! Angie and her family are fantastic owners/people. The whole family was around quite often to maintain the site, check in on guests, the kids would play with ours sometimes, etc. If we go to the UP again, we're definitely coming back here to stay!

We had the best time at U.P. Sunrise Cottages! Jeff and Angie were such great hosts and so accommodating! Our girls enjoyed playing with all of the kiddos. There was a lot of swimming, fun on the water park, kayaking, and fires with s’mores! We were also at a prime location for day trips to the Marquette Maritime Museum, Pictured Rocks boat tour, and many beautiful hikes to waterfalls. Definitely one of the most relaxing, enjoyable vacations we have ever been on!

Great place for a family reunion! We had 25 people ranging in age from 6–71 and there was plenty for everyone to do and enjoy.

We stayed there last week and had a great experience. The owners were super friendly and it was neat having all of the fun outside stuff to do. The kitchen had a lot of extra things in it, even though we didn’t need to use a lot of it. I also liked having the board games there when we had spare time.

Loved our time here! There’s definitely something for all ages. Great atmosphere, friendly hosts who think of anything you might need or want — including bug spray and charcoal…or a free ice cream cone! This place has the kind of personal touch only a small business offers, with the perks of a simply beautiful and practical location. Close to Gwinn and Marquette for additional shopping, events, or entertainment.

What a wonderful staycation. Sunset Point is very relaxing and serene. It was nice to recharge the battery and connect with family and not have the burden of traveling far. I basically showed up with just a duffle bag of clean clothes. All my other needs were already there includiing a boat, canoe, kayaks, sauna, firepit….. I’ll definately be back!

Sunset Point is the perfect winter get-away spot. Highly recommended for a get-away. Second time staying! The cabin is a great place to relax with views out every window. The sauna is an extra bonus. We loved all the local restaurants and breweries. Thanks so much Jeff and Angie.
