Your dumb employees and probably
the manager closed the doors before 10:00 when there was multiple people outside trying to get in. Very unprofessional, disgusting, waving their hands. Didn't even want to do the work when I would of been in and out. You're a damn Dollar store. Do better hire people that actually want to work

Very clean and organized. Easy to locate things and stock on shelves. Not in boxes on the floor.

I love DT. This one used to be a favorite location of mine, until today. I understand both sides of this encounter to preface, however it rubbed me the wrong way entirely.
A “regular” had just checked before the woman in front of me ( I didn’t see this interaction. I came up as she was walking out) She was wearing some kind of security shirt, I know this because the cashier kept calling this woman “security shirt”
Anyhow, a woman wearing a security shirt came into DT on Southfield today and got $6.45 worth of items. But her card only had $6 available and declined the remainder after she left. Leaving a bill of $0.45.
The cashier said NO LESS than five times that this customer will not be allowed in “on her watch”. She told everyone there who was working and within ear shot about the $0.45 bill. She also added in each time that the customer was a “short, fat, Mexican”.
The woman in front of me and myself were NOT pleased. We both made it a point to offer to pay the remainder. Instead they (the cashier and manager) declined the offers and made it a point that she is no longer welcome in the store.
Like I said I understand the principle, and that this may not be the first time the customer has done this, I don’t know. What I do know is that right now, in our economy we’re ALL a couple paychecks away from losing what we work everyday for. If $0.45 is going to make or break Dollar Tree there are far bigger issues going on.
The racist, old, body shamming, bullying cashier is NOT a good look for this store. Any store. Over less than $1. GET it together or get employees with good moral compass. Not ones that are BORED.
What if that customer didn’t have ill intentions and she had no idea that her card would decline? What if she did know but needed a household essential.
Either way that old woman only embarrassed herself and the company today. It should’ve been handled much more professionally. And I pray I’m there the next time that customer returns. I’d love to be there for her as a witness!

The manager here is very rude . She knows who she is. Has no respect for other people. Don't ever ask her a question. She hates to even try to help people. SHOW KINDNESS it goes a long way. I will be calling corporate.
