White Oaks has everything Mom wanted when we were looking for an assisted living facility. On her criteria was private room, beauty shop, Bible study and church service, ability to play cards and to go out shopping. White Oaks has exceeded her expectation. The doctor comes to the facility and her care is better than when she was home. The staff is great. We would definitely recommend the facility.

White Oaks assisted living has been a blessing for my special.needs brother. He seems happier and more friendly with the older ones. He has more things to keep him busy.

My mom lived and died here during the final year of her life 2022. One thing, among many, that occurred here is that she was deprived of multiple medications for significant health conditions for days and weeks at a time - with the full knowledge of administration. (This knowledge will likely be denied, but we have proof) Even after we became aware, due to medical complaints by my mom and our subsequent inquiry, changes were not made, as evidenced by continuing medication administration records we obtained. Due to the fact that we could not move my mom at this time and did not wish to incur retribution, we remained active in her care and waited until she no longer resided at White Oaks to file a complaint with the state. The results of the special investigation can be found at the website for licensing and regulatory affairs of Michigan (LARA) for White Oaks I license AL800315839 and White Oaks II As you will see, the state found multiple other residents, who with one exception were deprived of their medications for varied number of days and weeks at time. The facility is now on a provisional license. If you have family that lives here or that died here, I strongly urge you to check their historical medication administration records - to be informed and be active in their care. There may be some direct damage that you find of your loved one as a result. The owners and administration of this facility need to be held accountable for their actions, inactions and the resultant damages. I venture to say that sadly some residents may have died as a result of the negligence and reckless behavior of those in charge of this facility. It is my suspicion that most families affected have no knowledge of these things. Medications are prescribed for a reason – to treat a variety of medical conditions and improve wellness and longevity. It is logical to conclude that when deprived of medications, including multiple medications for days and weeks at a time, people will become more ill and or die.

My family and I have been very pleased with the care our Mom has received while at White Oaks. The staff is caring and take the time to talk 1 on 1 with each resident to get to know them. I would recommend White Oaks to others. Thanks for all you do, White Oaks Team.

Our overall experience with White Oaks has been exceptional! In the time our mom has been there, everyone on staff has gone out of their way to make her feel welcome, cared for, and valued as an important member of the White Oaks family. That level of commitment and compassion is rare. As long-time residents of the Lawton area, we have had other family members at White Oaks. There’s something special about this place and the dedicated people who work there. It’s more than just a job to each of them. It’s a higher calling to help each resident live their best life as long as possible. Thank you for being and doing your best every day!

I worked through an agency for this facility. This facility is very clean. The staff was excellent. Friendly & helpful. I love the size of this facility and the one on one care they’re able to give the residents. I give this facility a 10/10.

My Grandpa lived here for a few weeks before passing from dementia. Throughout his time here, the staff and facility were wonderful. The staff treated the residents with respect, and they looked very well cared for. They were always very welcoming to us and attentive to our needs. I would definitely recommend sending your loved one here!

We needed a place to care for my brother who was in the last stage of dementia. When other places couldn’t take him White Oaks welcomed him with open arms. They are compassionate, patient and kind, which is exactly what a dementia patient needs to feel safe and loved. Thank you for loving him as much as we did!!

My mother has been living at White Oaks for 2 years. I visit nearly every day so I can speak from experience that White Oaks staff at every level is highly competent and caring. The residents and their rooms are kept neat and clean. The food is delicious and nutritious. The nurses dispense meds and monitor their health and well being. It is a comfort to me knowing my mother is so well cared for.

Not only is White Oaks a wonderful place to work, but it’s also a great experience for future health care workers. As this being my first time working at an assisted living facility and getting experience in this field, I was welcomed with open arms from residents and staff. The residents here have a great impact on my life and I look forward to going to work everyday to see them!

Our beloved family member, Phil, has resided at White Oaks for 2-1/2 years. We can’t express enough the love and care he received from the staff. Debbie took a special interest in him and he thrived because of her attentiveness. All of the caregivers are committed to serving the residents with a great attitude and it’s just a really special place. Our Phil passed away last week and we will miss him terribly. We will also miss all the loving caregivers.

We gave a lot of thought to where to place my grandfather, who is 93 and starting to experience quite a bit of memory loss. Several life-long friends of mine have had their loved ones at White Oaks, and they all gave it high marks, so that put our mind at ease.Since he's been in there (about 3 months now), my father and I have visited nearly every day, at various times of day, and have consistently been impressed with the staff and the facility. The nurses and aides are always pleasant, despite doing a very challenging job, and the rest of the staff is great, too. The food looks good, the rooms are comfortable, and there are many opportunities for residents to socialize; they do an excellent job with Activities. I don't think you'll find a nicer care facility in the area, and I am thankful every day for the hard-working staff there.
