This is one of my favorite places to stop, the lunch chicken is delicious and a great local delicacy for gas station choices, I'm dying to try the chive potatoes, the bathroom is clean and the best part is the staff! Whoever does the hiring give them a raise because these amazing people have helped make my day on more than one occasion. The are warm, friendly, polite, and professional!! Plus I've seen them cleaning the food areas almost everytime I'm in the building. Love this little local gem!

I've always had friendly service, but they need to do a better job with their pricing. There's a whole rack of snack cakes with individual stickers saying $2.79, but the shelf tags all still say $2.49. And the bag of chips I bought had a factory printed "$2.69 only" right on the bag, but they scanned at $3.29.

Went to go cash a check and was told that my ID wasn’t me. MARIAS daughter was selling cigarettes at 15 illegally to consumers for years.

My husband & oldest grandson were at the Marathon in Lawrence this morning. My grandson paid for his items and walked back to Rick with his bag. The old witch running the store had another customer yell for him because she was sure he was going to steal something. Other people were in the store walking around with bags in their hands but she singles out our sweet little Bill especially while he is with his grandpa?! We have shopped a Marathon since we moved to Lawrence in 1994, but NEVER & I mean NEVER again.

Owner is a nice guy and a great neighbor. Food is above average for a gas station. Very clean kitchen. Pizza is excellent!

We stopped in there today for fuel and had to pay inside as the old pumps didn't seem to like my card. That was not a big deal as it gave me a chance to look inside. They have a large selection of beer and liquors and lots of grocery type items ice cream, milk, snacks also looks to be a good place to grab a cup of coffee with a well maintained fleet of coffee makers.
