“My father has been a long-time customer, and one of the managers, Giovanni, has converted me too. I went in looking for a gift for a friend, and Giovanni pin-pointed great selections for me based on the criterion I gave him. The owners have developed quite the network with distillers and other artisans to not only provide intimate knowledge on the products they sell, but to offer more exclusive and interesting products as well. They didn’t try to push the most expensive or flashiest bottle onto me, but directed me towards scotches and bourbons that were both within my budget as well as extraordinarily enjoyable. I will be returning soon.”
“The kimbaps are quickly made to order and come out still warm. I got the original and bulbogi, which are both excellent. The rice has a wonderful texture and filling is generous. Most of the prepared foods seem to be made from scratch, including the rice cake deserts!The service here is great as well! I had some questions about the different types of Kimchi and a lady who looks like she might be the owner came out from the back to give me advice on which type to get! They are super friendly and the food is great!They definitely deserve all your business.”

“Have been coming here for years and will always return! The owner and workers here are so nice and friendly, always smiling, always willing to help if I have a question or need assistance. They have a great selection of Mediterranean food that they make themselves including hummus, tabbouleh, and garlic sauce. Awesome selection of olives, cheese, and their Turkish coffee is wonderful! It reminds me of the espresso I used to drink when I was younger with my family members. I order their hummus and sliced pasterma all the time during the holidays like today (Thanksgiving) or during Christmas. I have never been disappointed and neither will you! “A gem of oak park. Everything from the restaurant part is delicious.. the pickled veggies are amazing and the portions are big! As for the shop, there's a good variety of spices, herbs, grains, candies and a whole isle dedicated to pickled foods plus the basics. The bread is good and I'm not sure why that one review said there's bugs...I buy it every week . Great place”

“Best liquor store in the area! Best Selection, Best deals, Best staff. Most of the liquor stores on Woodward close at 10, or 12 on weekends. I love the fact that Kenwood opens early at 7am, and closes late at 2am every day of the week. The staff is always friendly and speak whenever you’re shopping. They have a nice selection of discounted liquor,food and general items, beer and wine and what they don’t have the owner is always happy to order it for you. They also have bottle return, which is nice because a lot of the liquor stores in the area charge a deposit but don’t accept their own bottles back. I’ve been coming here for 5 years and have no complaints.”

“Our family uses Fresh Approach multiple times per week. From larger shopping trips, to stopping for lunch, or some drinks, it is always a great experience. We know all the workers, who always greet us by name, and love seeing our toddler come with us. When he isn't there, they ask us how he is. Food quality is great, and pricing is fair. Lots of variety for a smaller store. GF options available for breads, snacks, and frozen meals! They are part of the reason we choose to stay in our neighborhood!”

“Kroger was actually a great experience everyone especially the staff was great! I was greeted by every associate that was in my path and when I needed help finding something I asked who I thought was an associate but was a vender he said he didn’t know but then later said “it’s over here”along with 2 other associates that work there then there was 3 woman associates that was having a conversation but immediately said “we have company” when me and my wife was walking pass they put us in their conversation and made us feel welcomed. This Krogers even had everything I needed too. I don’t see this very often with black folks and white folks so I have to give this location the highest stars as possible. Thank you Kroger’s I live in Oak Park next to a Krogers but I might have to start going to this particular Krogers for now on.”
