About Rowden Park
Rowden Park is a charming and well-maintained outdoor area that offers a variety of features for visitors. It has a lovely pond filled with fish, turtles, and egrets, along with a one-mile paved loop connecting to nearby bike trails. The park's trail meanders through wooded areas, crosses bridges, and provides opportunities to see wildlife, including birds and turtles. There are also two ponds, making it a peaceful spot for nature walks and wildlife observation. Visitors can enjoy a clean, large restroom facility and multiple picnic areas, including a pavilion that provides shade and seating, suitable for family gatherings. The park includes a playground with a climbing structure, swings, and a tire swing, which is loved despite its age. The playground shows signs of wear but remains fun for children. There are also tennis courts and a baseball diamond where local teams play, adding to the park's community appeal. Dogs are welcome, and many visitors bring their pets, though geese can sometimes be aggressive, especially with young goslings nearby. Some areas, like the paths and playground equipment, could benefit from maintenance, but overall, the park offers a pleasant environment for walking, picnicking, and relaxing. The park’s natural beauty and wildlife, combined with its accessible amenities, make it a favorite spot for locals seeking a peaceful escape close to the city.

Lovely park they're about to repave. Great pond with a one-mile paved loop connecting to the area's bike trail, but watch out for geese. No swimming area, but a nice playground and covered area for picnic tables.

The park itself is actually pretty okay. It's the unleashed dogs, beer cans just tossed around randomly in the weeds and trees, the graffiti and people living in the surrounding woods that kills it for me.
