I've been volunteering some of my time helping the volunteers and animals at PAR! I cannot express enough highly positive words on how all the volunteers are so dedicated, committed, appreciative, and compassionate towards the animals in their care and I've volunteered with several other rescue groups for over 25+ years! This is an amazing group! The animals are very well cared for and transparency is very important! This organization is amazing!! If you have extra time during the week, I highly recommend volunteering or fostering for Paradise!

I signed up to foster for her. I didn't feel the dog she wanted me to take was a good fit here. I also asked if their page was down, not sure how that is offensive. So she sent me a snotty email and blocked me. I never said the dog wasn't wonderful, I just thought he might regress in this environment because I have other dogs.
She's also deleting any comments I make on their Facebook page. I realize she's only 22, but that's childish behavior.
All I wanted to do is help. If she'd like to talk like adults about how she's feeling I'll be happy to remove this.

would rather let a dog sit unadopted than let a loving family take him home. a family that already has the same breed of dog.

Fantastic place, great people, animals are very well cared for. Yes they screen the people who want to adopt an animal, only to be sure the animals personality fit its new home. They care!

They don't check references and their policy is to ghost you if you get denied

You know, I fully understand you want these animals to have good homes, but you guys have a very funny way of running your business. Twice now we have attempted to adopt and have been told no. Once for not having "husky experience" and now it's because we don't have another dog for the beagle we want to play with?? You guys need to be more specific in your descriptions for the requirements of these pets you're trying to adopt out. You're punishing the good pet owners for bad pet owners decisions and that is not fair, nor is it right!!! 0 out 10, do not recommend!!!!

They will not contact your references. They will ghost you if you are denied (their actual policy). They said the beagle I wanted barks too loud to live in a densely populated area but didn't bother to check with me the size of my yard, almost half acre, completely fenced and beagle proof as I already have a beagle and my neighbors love him and his howls. My beagle is struggling being alone after his brother passed from cancer but they don't care. My place checks all their boxes on his bio. My application also stated that my current beagle is a rescue and we fostered a husky for 2 years in this "densely populated area." I guess that is not enough experience to rescue a dog.

If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. Paradise Animal Rescue's volunteers go above and beyond expectations to rescue and find good homes for all of their animals. The volunteers are caring, well informed and soon as you start volunteering, you’ll soon have a second family there.Despite what some people say (complain) about the adopting policies, Paradise’s application and evaluation process was established for the sole purpose of putting each animal into the home that will set everyone up for success. Every single animal rescue volunteer works hard and spends countless hours with these animals to make sure they get the perfect home.Paradise Animal Rescue is a small organization, but it’s the one you should support. They’re the ones that make the biggest difference in the world. Without them, many, many animals would not be alive. You see little organizations struggling with funds while the huge animal corporations make millions and they’re not even doing a quarter of the ground work that your local rescue does.Always support your local animal rescue.

I adopted two of my cats through this facility; they have both since passed away but they lived long lives and I am so thankful to have had these two cats in particular, which this rescue organization made possible by God's grace. They seemed well cared for and in good health when I received them.

I only spoke with them about the medical ER I had. They recommended the 24/7 Animal Hospital in Romeo. ? Good choice.I have listed my cat to be spayed and the whole sign up online was super easy and clear to follow. They're always doing good works and most of my friends have gotten their animals from paradise.????? 5/5!!
