“I called on a Monday morning and was able to get my car in and repaired the same day. I could hear a grinding sound coming from a wheel. As it turns out, I needed rear brake pads and rotors. Ted was great to work with! He kept me informed about what was going on with my vehicle, gave me an estimate and kept me in the loop as to when my car would be ready for pickup. Ted and his technicians were respectful and kind. It's rare to see this level of professionalism these days! Do not hesitate to visit this shop!!!”

“I went in just to look around at Rim Kingz. The young man at the front desk (didn’t catch his name unfortunately) was so nice and helpful. All i knew was that I eventually wanted rims. Nonetheless, he was so welcoming, eager to help, and shared his knowledge that I ended up buying new tires, 22” rims, and setting up an appointment. That same young man was in there at the shop by himself this morning (Tuesday 04/02/24). He was answering calls, installing my rims, and helping customers as they came! He deserves recognition! Aside from all he was handling on his own he maintained a very nice and friendly atmosphere. I definitely recommend Rim Kingz!!! They have amazing prices, and fast service!”

“We were passing through East Lansing from out of town. All of a sudden I started hearing a terrible noise from my right front suspension. After calling a few other repair shops with no luck being 4 pm on a Friday, I got a call back that muffler man was able to get me in before they closed that evening. It ended up being a minor repair, they got us in and out quickly and were honest & friendly in the process. Thanks Muffler Man!

“Lafontaine Buick GMC was amazing! I originally went there looking at a used vehicle. I met Barry right away and he was AWESOME! After speaking with Barry and his team over the course of two weeks, I was able to make the best decision for my family with a brand new vehicle. There was no pushing at all from Barry. “The salesperson was very knowledgeable about the tires that I wanted and answered the questions that I had. The tires had to be ordered and came in later than originally stated. Once the tires came in they were installed way faster than the time I was told. No issues with the tires or the install.”
“Stopped at 8:30 Tuesday morning to get air in my right rear tire. These are all terrain light truck tires that require around 80 lb psi. Most convenient stores charge $2 for two minutes and their capacity is only about 50 lb. The young shop mechanic came out and topped off all four of my tires. Very friendly and helpful.”
“Bottom line: This Discount Tire location was absolutely great and I would highly recommend Discount Tire, generally.
I was due for a tire rotation, and since I get free tire rotations, I made an appointment at this location of Discount Tire. I worked in Lansing today, so made the appointment there, as I usually would not. My appointment was for 5:15, which is 45 minutes before their closing time. I didn’t think anyone would be there, but the room was almost full when I got there. I let the person who helped me know I can reschedule my appointment if they were backed up, but he assured me the appointments would take priority, and it would no longer than the normal hour.
It was certainly true, and I got my back within the hour of my appointment time. Actually less than an hour. The staff was extremely kind and helpful. Even though they were swamped, every person I came in contact with, or even overheard, had a very positive attitude. It might be irritating to some, but I noticed the staff took their time with each person they were helping to make sure the customer got and understood everything that was happening. When it comes to tires and the anxiety that comes with overall car maintenance, I thought that was great, as it seemed to ease the stress of the customers.
I would highly recommend this location and will definitely continue to give Discount Tire my business.”
“Hard to get a hold of of on the phone, but is a small shop with only one or two guys working. Said they had the tires for my car and just to swing by. They did have them and installed them right away, even checked the alignment but weren't pushy with any services. Much better tired than what I drove in with.”
“I had a rough Sunday with getting a flat on my way to Lansing from Jackson. I throw on the spare and headed to Sam’s once I was done with my business. They got me right in and taken care of. Daniel was especially helpful, not only was he very polite and helpful. But he also explained some future issues he saw on the horizon all without being pushy or trying to pressure me into buying new tires that very moment. He was awesome!”
“I needed to part with my 2002 Ford Explorer that quit running and was just sitting in the yard. I called Shroyer's and they helped me get it out of the yard and bought it to use for parts before it is scrapped. I worked with Patrick, Tyler, and Curtis. They were all very nice and professional. “We were heading out on a family camping trip when we blew a brake line, practically in Belle Tires parking lot. It was late on a Friday, but with no where to go, we went inside to see if this is something they could help with. They said it would be close, but they would try. We dropped the camper in the parking lot, tied up all 3 dogs, and had the kids playing in the grass and all sat there waiting. Through conversation with the manager Josh Brennan, we learned he has 2 boys who play football, and they have a big game tonight. They had to wait on our parts to get delivered and it was really tight. At 6pm when it was closing time I was really worried that we hadn’t developed a back up plan. They all stayed and finished and got us all back on the road! The selflessness of them to stay late on a Friday night, knowing they were missing time with their families, to help our family when they could see the predicament we were in, is so far above and beyond normal customer service! We truly cannot thank them all enough!”

“My truck pulled to the left after an alignment at Belle Tire. They said it was aligned right and there was nothing they could do. I brought it to AutoLab to center my steering wheel and fix the pull to the left. A tech named Dillon took the time and knowledge to align my truck correctly, center the steering and eliminate the pull. Instead of having to live with the problem as Belle Tire recommended, now it drives straight like it should. Highly recommend the expert friendly care from this repair facility.”

“Experience was okay. This is my second time going to this location with my silverado. First time i submitted some complaints but they had a good response time reaching out to see how they could make it better. Today i had an appointment set at 1400. I ended up leaving around 1815 after getting there at 1530. My tires call for 41psi cold and they set them at 37/38. I got an alignment and my wheel is clearly slanted to the right. My weather stripping of the driver door is peeled out at the bottom...did they SLIDE out of the truck every time they needed to get out? It was frustrating. Bathroom was in pretty gross condition. But there were positives durint my time here. Their staff are very polite at the front desks, dealing with them myself and getting to observe them for nearly two hours. They are welcoming and even when you ask dumb questions (i was guilty of that part) they answer politely. They honored one of the two coupons i showed them that i had emailed to me and offered a discount on alignment because i was waiting so long. Ultimately i ended up paying less than i planned to, that's always a plus. I ordered the tires on friday and they were installed on monday. I can get over the steering wheel not being straight but i'm irritated about the weather stripping. I have 50,000 miles think about it, but if they still have the best prices i'll more than likely come back.”
“Last week I had such a pleasant oil change experience. I called 40 minutes ahead to make sure oil change services were still available for that day. I pulled in at 4:40 and the man in charge was apologetic that I'd have to wait about an hour for my oil change because the day crew was getting ready to leave (I was already expecting to wait, so this was not bothersome to me at all, but I thought his being apologetic about it was incredibly kind). Then he came in the waiting room to tell me the day crew could change the oil in 15 minutes, so it would be ready sooner than expected. On top of that, one of the crew members who changed my oil rang me up at the register and was so friendly! I figured most people would be disgruntled to do one more job at the end of their shift, but she had a happy demeanor and was very pleasant. I definitely think this crew went above and beyond and I wanted to commend them for their excellent customer service!”

“I called at 7 PM on a Thursday asking if I could bring a vehicle in to have a tire looked at and potentially plugged around 8 PM—when they close at 8:30. Without hesitation, these guys said, “Yep no problem, bring it on by.” Kevin and the rest of the team are 10/10 all day (and night).”
