Just had a really weird experience when I got one of my vaccines. I was about to leave the small, separate room when the pharmacist, Phil, asked me to write a review. He said he could show me now, and could I get my phone out now to complete it. He the stood there, expecting me to complete it in front of him. I told him I would do it later, but had to repeat it several times to end the interaction. Pushy! And how honest are the other reviews if that’s how he does it?

Do NOT go here if you're immunocompromised or otherwise high risk! I went to Rite-Aid instead of my usual Walgreens because they were the only place that had Novavax, but then they were out of it despite their scheduling website claiming it was in stock, so I had to get Pfizer anyway. Their vaccine room door has a "Masks NOT required" sign on it, and politely asking the pharmacist administering the COVID vaccine to wear a mask while in the tiny unventilated room was met with "We don't have to." An actively anti-mask pharmacy that still doesn't understand how COVID works in 2023? Ridiculous. Would never trust them with anything health-related, no wonder they're bankrupt.

I've had nothing but wonderful experiences with this Rite Aid until my recent vaccine appointment. The checkout staff have been friendly, courteous and helpful, the pharmacists knowledgeable and kind, and the staff administering previous vaccines informative and personable. Even the manager on duty on this day was wonderfully attentive to his customers and obviously cared about this store.I scheduled my Covid and Flu vaccine for the Friday after Thanksgiving and was very disappointed with Phil, the individual who administered the vaccine. He walked out of the pharmacy door with his nose in his cell phone and used it to gesture me into the exam room. He barely spoke to or looked at me but instead kept his eyes glued to the phone, scrolling with his fingers, throughout the process. I had to ask him to shut the door so I could pull up my clothes and expose my arms. His first swipe with the alcohol swab totally missed the area where he'd be inserting the needle so I requested he repeat it. I've rarely felt so uncomfortable with someone. Perhaps he shouldn't be the person performing this task--or maybe there should be a rule about cell phone usage when dealing with patients/customers.

This pharmacy dispensed a medication that would have severely worsened my wife’s infection (steroid instead of an antibiotic). The pharmacist refused to take responsibility- as a fellow healthcare professional, the lack of accountability and simple common sense demonstrated in this case is horrific. Do not trust this pharmacy.

The staff at the pharmacy is great! They know me by name now and have been very helpful when I was dealing with work-related insurance issues. They are always very friendly and helpful. I used to come to this location even when I moved to a different part of the city for a year where there were at least 5 rite aids that would’ve been closer.

The pharmacists are always ready to answer my questions; other products in the store save me trips to other businesses; the convenient location of the Rite Aid is not far from my house.
