Does not accept prescriptions through online pharmacies like Chewy. Very inconvenient.

I am familiar with LLRAC I've taken my pet family here for years, and even had a few elderly fur babies pass on here. This is when Dr. Jones was here.
I recently made an appointment for an elderly animal that was in duress. They've seen him before. The first time, [I won't name the vets] I was told he more than likely had high blood pressure, he had a swollen forehead, and blah, blah, blah. I indicated it was ALLERGIES and requested meds he'd been given before, she said she didn't feel comfortable with that but gave him an eye ointment that he had before because he had some eye drainage, but she didn't see an infection. Okay.
That didn't stop the consistent sneezing and congestion he had. So, I gave the eye ointment and nothing changed. I knew he had allergies so I took him back and he saw another vet who said, he looks bad, he's old, he looks like he has cancer and he'll need an MRI [$3,000]. She said she'd had an animal that this happened to and he was old so she euthanized him. Nothing else. I burst into tears. I finally requested bloodwork [she never suggested it] thinking that the bloodwork might show cancer due to white-blood cell counts. She consented. [$300]. I waited and got the results she was shocked!! NO HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE, WBC count was normal!!!! I didn't do the MRI because I didn't think he needed it and frankly I couldn't afford it. I left there with NO TREATMENT and no words of comfort, just biopsy if I wanted to do that later.
So, I called Williamston Animal Clinic and made an appointment. I told them of my experience. I took the bloodwork paperwork and suggested getting an X-ray of the swelling. Got the results which showed NO SIGNS OF CANCER, they looked at his nasal passages and saw inflammation and suggested steroids and antihistamines.
He was on a regime for 2 weeks and by the 1st week, ALL OF HIS SYMPTOMS WERE GONE.
The frontal forehead swelling was due to him sneezing a lot. His congestion, eye drainage, lethargy, wheezing, and swelling are ALL GONE! The vet said he wouldn't have let me leave without trying something.
Something as simple as an X-ray, bloodwork, steroids, and antihistamines were all that was needed. Instead, I was given a diagnosis of high blood pressure and cancer and euthanization!!!
Keep your animals away from LLRAC! Or at the very least get a second opinion!!! This experience was devastating, if I had not been thinking on my feet he would have been put to death. How horrible for lacking minds that sought answers through ideas and probability and sought to end life instead of saving it. I will never go back to that animal clinic again. If I could give them zero I would!!!

Had an appt for my dog to be seen at the clinic for a new puppy. Called the office to let them know that my daughter was admitted to hospital (out of town) and I would not be able to make appt and needed to reschedule. Was told that I would need to make another $50 deposit for not giving 24 hrs notice. REALLY!!! Are you kidding me… where is any sense of empathy or compassion for human life?
Horrible… they can keep my the deposit. Sounds like from other reviews they are only concerned with money anyway!!!!

I took my elderly cat to the clinic for end of life care. When it came time to say goodbye, the staff were so incredibly supportive and empathetic. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience given the circumstances. I really appreciate everything the staff here did for me!

They had my dog on a stay by a referral from my sister. 3-4 days later my dog got sick and they "told me to call everyday until I could get an appointment". I had to take my large dog up north with no help - thankfully my northern vets I knew we're able to put her down. If you love your animals - don't bring them here. I made the mistake and I know my dog caught something from their kennel.

Lake Lansing Road Animal Clinic is great! My dog, Howie, got fixed about a month ago and was under their care for the day. They treated him like their very own pup and made sure he was comfy and stress-free when I picked him up after the surgery. The staff were extremely thorough with the verbal and written instructions on post-op care (and super transparent with all of the pricing beforehand too), and he healed up quickly with very minimal discomfort during the process. They also called to check in on him a few days after the procedure which was super thoughtful. Thanks to the awesome team at this clinic for providing Howie with the best care possible! (He insisted that I add a photo of him…).
