We dropped our 2018 Kia Forte off on August 6th, since that time we have received no communication from Kia at all. We have been calling and leaving messages with no response. The few times someone in service actually answers, we are told they are still waiting to look at the car. We stopped by today to get something out of the car and it has sat in the Kia parking lot for so long it now has a flat tire. I have bought three cars from Kia and always used to recommend them. I will never recommmend them again.

I always go here for auto oil change or repair. The staff is always great but one associate was AWESOME his name was Xavier. He went out of his way to assist me. I will be returning.

I went in to the service department today to ask about my engine light going on and off. Xavier waited on me and was excellent! I don't know much about cars, but he sure did explain everything to me in detail and answered all of my questions. He's a great asset to Kia of Lansing.

Girlfriend bought a 2022 car from this place and haven’t even owned it for 30 days car is already acting up. Sometimes going down the highway at 70mph it feels like the car is being pushed from behind. It does this for a while then stops then will start happening at random times. Of course when you take it back to them they won’t do a thing about it other then act like jerks. The service guy is a jerk to and should probably find a new job because he sucks dealing with customers that spend a lot of money on there cars. I would highly not recommend going here for anything. They suck

Worst experience ever, they don't accept my deposit and said I gotta have all my down payment and car insurance to buy the car. But how can I bring the car insurance there when I could not have them keep the car from selling?

I have bought two Kia’s from this dealership and have had the best customer service. Brandon, manager of the Service Department followed through with getting me the help I needed to have my car repaired even though I moved two hours away. They are honest, and dependable and I would highly recommend this dealership to anyone.

If I can give you zero stars I would. This issue has been going on for a few months now. We bought the car brand new from your dealership end of September 2023. March 2024 the check engine light comes on. My son went to the KIA dealership in Grand Rapids to inquire about an oil change and have them check the engine. They proceeded to tell him the gas cap is loose and he didn’t need an oil change yet at that time. Fair enough. 5/4/2024 The check engine light is back on and he brought it to your dealership. The first service was performed (8106 miles), a recall was fixed and an engine diagnosis was done, which by the way you charged him $44.70 plus tax when it should have been covered under warranty. According to your receipt the ECM codes show a small evap leak code in history but you were unable to see leak and you returned the car without doing anything. 5/31/24 we returned the car to the dealership because the check engine light was on again and the code read evaporative emission system leak and you replaced the filler pipe and cleared codes. 7/22/24 Check engine light is on again and my son dropped off the car and was told “we will keep the car for 30 days” no offer for a loaner and the only explanation was that you are shorthanded. I had my son call back that afternoon to ask if the car is drivable and will be just sitting there if we could pick it up and bring it back when you are ready to work on it. Mind you the 7/22/24 drop off was an appointment. Why would you set an appointment to take the car and not work on it right away? He gets a call back the morning of 7/24/24 saying the car is ready to be picked up. Him and his girlfriend were told at pick up “it’s fixed and the light won’t come on again”. He goes to the cashier and was told to pay $29.99. My son told the cashier it should be under warranty. How many times do you get away with charging people for warranty work that should be covered? All she had to do was look at the receipt and see how old the car was and the mileage. Your receipt on 7/22/24 noted: SMALL EVAP leak and also fuel cap was not seated correctly. You removed the cap and put it back on and cleared the codes and drove 21 miles. No lights on according to you. Obviously, adjusting the gas cap isn’t fixing the leak because he drives the car out of your lot and drove 2 miles and the check engine light was on again. So for the 4TH TIME on 7/24/24 the car was driven back to the dealer and this time your service manager told me no light on and no leak so they can’t fix anything. We drove a few miles and no light on. Maybe just maybe you should have fixed the “very small leak” correctly since this whole time it clearly shows just adjusting the gas cap is not fixing it. Your service manager mentioned that the technician can’t diagnose something if the “machine” has no error code. Your service manager also told me he can’t give me a refund of the $44.70 plus tax you charged us on 5/4/24 visit without an “ROI”. So, not only can’t you diagnose something without relying on your code reader which btw, read as a small evap leak on 5/4/24, 5/31/24 and on 7/22/24 it still showed up and just taking the gas cap and putting it back on and clearing codes is clearly not addressing the underlying issue, you also charge for warranty work that should be covered and apparently unable to pull up records in your system to give a refund for a charge that shouldn’t have been charged. You have one job to do. It’s not rocket science. I’m not asking you to fly a rocket ship to the moon. I’m asking you to do your job and do it right. That’s all. We actually wanted to buy another Kia after this to replace my husband’s Telluride and thank goodness ended up with a different brand. You didn’t seem to have an issue taking my personal check when I paid cash for this car in September but now getting this kind of service.
P.S. Receipt photos are attached since you can’t seem to access your system for a refund. I want my money back. Better yet take the car back and give me my money back.

Disappointed to say the least...
This is our second time to Kia of Lansing for a new car, the first time was ok, this time was not!
The sales guy was nice, and seemed to understand the situation with our trade in, however the sales manager (or whoever the salesman went to see in the back office) saying "good luck" super loud throughout the showroom was very embarrassing, and frankly very unprofessional! It was never about the money for the down payment, we have that in cash, it was only about being offered half of what we paid for the truck last year, and far less than others offer. Doing is a "favor" by offering payoff when the market on the truck is $10k more, is not a favor!
Maybe this is why the Jackson store only has like 20 cars at it?
Is business really that bad?
Or, is business that good that you don't want the sale?
Do you really "wanna see ya in a Kia"?
Either way, lesson learned on our part, there is zero loyalty anymore, so off to GR we go, because we're still going to buy a Kia, but it'll be from a dealer that actually wants our business!

Serious lack of communication. You got my car a 7am and zero communication til I called at 2:20 pm to find out you have to order the part, I will have to probably wait til Monday to get the car back! It's Wednesday! What am I supposed to do until then? I have errand to run!

Long story short. Kirsten Babel does not know what she is doing, Orville is abusive & Skip is nowhere to be found. I wish this car would spontaneously set on fire.
My brand new sportage (I paid cash for) is sitting in the shop with 1,200 miles on it. Loaner car?? Haha they say....ride in our van with 5 other people.
I do have to say the shop is doing the very best they can with the situation they've been dealt. Xavier has been amazing. There have been many recalls. They are quite backed up.
If you really need a Kia, you will have to drive a while to get away from Skip's monopoly.
"See ya in a uber" cuz your Kia is in the shop.
