The worst experience with a car rental place! Our flight was delayed numerous time! When we prepaid for the car we put in the flight information with the carrier and the flight number! I then proceeded to call the desk to tell them and I gave them the contact information and the lady told me they would reach out and monitor the flight! The companies policy on their website states "However if you are arriving by airplane and have provided Hertz with flight details (including airline and flight number), the reservation will be held until one hour after the flight has landed and cleared. In the case of flight delay whereby the new arrival time is outside of the pick-up location opening hours, the location will remain open provided that the carrier has notified the delay and the new arrival time." They did not abide by this and when I called back to update them they were closed! I then proceeded to contact their customer service and the first time i was rudely hung up on, then called a second time and proceeded to tell the about their policy and the guy told me it only applies during business hours! Then he proceeded to pretty much tell me that its my problem and I have to figure it out because we have no way to get from the airport to our destination which is 30 minutes outside of Lansing! I will never use Hertz again due to their poor customer service pay more for better customer service!

Zero stars if it was possible! Avoid this company at all costs. I reserved one of their cargo vans for a vacation a month in advance. They waited until the day before I was scheduled to pick up and called and said the van wouldn't be available. They offered a box truck. I wasn't going to drive a box truck to Florida and back for vacation. The fuel cost alone would have been astronomical. I planned on taking 5 people's luggage and misc. items and my motorcycle to Florida/Disney for a week. I also planned to sleep in the back on an air mattress on the way down and back to save on hotel costs. You can't do that in a box truck.They also wouldn't accept my debit card so I had to have my mother use her credit card, and would have to add me as a driver for an additional daily fee. We paid the half up front like they asked on the website and then basically ruined our vacation. I actually had to go and purchase my own Dodge ram pro master cargo van, the same day, so this trip could happen. Now I have a commercial vehicle that is huge and very expensive to insure. I will never even think to attempt to rent a vehicle through Hurtz EVER again.... Completely unprofessional. If I didn't have the ability to purchase one of these vans, it would have ruined our complete pre-paid vacation. I would recommend not trying to rent any type of vehicle from them. I was so angry the day they called. It would have cost me a boat load to add all the luggage to the flights and purchase myself a plane ticket last minute if I didn't find this van. I feel like you just can't rely on any business anymore. ? Garbage!I drove, my family and inlaws flew down. They rented cars from Alamo out of Orlando and had zero issues.....unlike Hertz. Never again!

On 8/1 I booked a car rental. When I arrived, they had no cars available. On 8/6 I was charged a "no show" fee for the rental.So now I've wasted the drive time to pick up a car that they didn't have and I've wasted time on the phone getting a refund for an erroneous charge.Where's my "no show" fee for the missing car? This is very frustrating and could have all been avoided with some proactive communication and attention to detail from Hertz.

The Seinfeld episode on rental car reservations applies here.They will gladly take your reservation, but won’t hold your reservation.You’re more likely to be stranded at the airport than to have a rental car available.Book through anyone else.

criminals and liars. our cresit card information was stolen instantly when we called their call center to pay for our reservation. we had to cancel that credit card because of the theft which canceled our reservation. We were told to rebook the reservation and they would honor the original price once contract was compleated since it was now double the first reservation. Once we completed our return I have called their over seas customer support center that has done nothing but lie. After 4 hours of phone calls to customer service I finally get someone that is willing to help me and open a case and return our funds. 15 days later and no refund. Now when I call they say they have no record of the case number and cant show any history of any agreement we had. You can never get past the first person that answers the phone because there is never a supervisor available. If you speak enough logic to them they will just hang up on you. So our experience with hertz has been full of criminals and liars with employees that have no employee I'd number and make up fake case numbers or just hang up on you. We are filing this with the better business bureau and our credit card company

This place is horrible. Had a reservation and when I arrived was told there were 2 reservations ahead of me and would be and hour to 2 hour wait and suggested I try another rental companyI hope no one ever uses this company

No stars. I made a reservation for a car rental to use to get to a wedding out of town. Had put In pick up time of 1pm. By the time my Uber arrived I got there at 1:30I was Informed that there were 2 reservations waiting ahead of me and it would be and hour or 2 hour wait so I should try another rental company. This is very unprofessional and I ended up having to pay someone for a ride. I have rented many times before and would recommend any place other than hertz. They are terrible save your money

Won't take my call, puts me on hold for half an hour. Could have resolved my issue in less time than they spent telling me to "get back in line, there's people who have been on hold longer!". Second time for Brian the Manager doing this to me. Adding extra days to my rental, or just taking more money without reason. Stay away.

I've rented from this location 4 times this year alone. The station manager and his staff always go above and beyond, making each rental experience a breeze.

I canceled my reservation within an hour of booking due to horrible customer care. I called twice, spoke with customer service and the lady was so rude! Gave me such bad attitude I felt stupid for ever calling. Then I called this location and I was rushed through my questions. All in all, is not worth it. Did I mention they have hidden fees? What you pay on the website is only part of it, you will be charged more at pick up. I rather use Turo.

First & last time renting from Hertz. Terribly disappointing that almost a month after we rented we are still waiting on a promised credit on our credit card due to charging us for an extra driver that we were never made aware of and most recently we now have an added toll charge in which we paid our toll costs at the time out of pocket.This car was for and under my parents name (I was just helping them) and luckily they look at their credit card statements.Never again Hertz and we’ll be sure to let everyone know about our experience.

Rental here around five times. Best customer service and excellent vehicle. They have Tesla (and rent these out to students with a major credit card & AAA Membership).Brian and are very helpful. I hope to rent from here more often. They also do complimentary upgrades if the vehicle is not available.
