DO NOT STAY HERE! The hotel is old and worn down. The doorknob on my bathroom door was broken and did not discover this until the door was closed. I was locked in the bathroom for 10 minutes until I forced it open.

This place was filled with bedbugs and ticks all over the bed and the whole building smelled like chlorine on top of all of that they charge me double the room price after I canceled never go here

I stayed at this hotel on 1222. I did not check into this hotel until midnight and checked out closer to 9 AM. I paid $100 for a deposit that I was told I wasn’t gonna get back because we smoked in the room however, we did not smoke in this room, and it was not proven when I went to the hotel to dispute it. I was treated very rudely and was told I needed to leave. The manager would not come to help and told me if he had to come up there then he was going to have me removed by the police so I didn’t fight it because I knew it was gonna be a big fight. I let them eat $100 and I knew that I wasn’t going to stay there again however, today on January 4 open my bank account to find they charge me another $86.94 so it cost me almost $300 to stay at this room and when I went to dispute this charge I was told to leave again that they wouldn’t talk to me about it and they were gonna call the police so this time I called the police myself the cops basically came and told me that this hotel is known for doing this kind of thing they get calls about it a lot, so I just wanna make people aware that this hotel is stealing peoples money and lying on these customers I am not happy and I will never stay here again

The place is a dump, the rooms are dirty the ONLY upside is the pool that you can smell through the entire building. One of the doors definitely has been kicked in, none of them closed without slamming them and the key worked 1/2 the time the biggest problem though was We had 3 rooms for the holiday all which had bugs. When we went to the front desk the guy was super calm and said ok can you show me...we led the way he verified and said he couldn't process a refund but the manager would call tomorrow to get the refund processed...sure enough we got no call and when we called the manager was not there. With that being said if 3 rooms have them they all have them so do NOT stay here.

Wow what a horrible experience! Called in advance asking if it was 18+ to check in, verified that answer with a “yes”. We booked the hotel and drove all the way there to be told we couldn’t stay because it wasn’t 18+ and…..WOULDN’T BE REFUNDED OUR MONEY BACK! This place is a scam! Not to mention the front desk man (jack) was rude and unhelpful. Don’t waste your time.

Absolute worst experience of my life. To begin, we called in advance before booking to make sure we could book as 18 and 19 year olds. They explicitly said yes. We were completely lied to. When we showed up for check in, the very rude front desk man jack informed us we in fact could not be 18/19. LIARS. On top of it all, they refused to refund us. If I could give this a 0/5 stars, I would. Do NOT let them rob you.

It has gone downhill since I stayed here 9 years ago. Lots of homeless and rhe room was a shambles. My water barely worked, and it smelled horrible. The bath was something from the last of us. The room smelled smokey but it was non smoking. Multiple outlets didn't work to charge anything. Staff were super cool though.Rooms: Rooms are not great. I didn't enjoy going back to the hotel.Nearby activities: Sparetime is next door and as fun as I remember.Safety: Safety is not great. Some shady people out there.Walkability: It's walkable to MSU,

You aren't allowed to "party" but you can be loud as you want until 5 in the morning or when ever you pass out. If you complain to the front desk they offer to move you to another room. Why would I want to move, I'm not the one throwing a party in my room. I asked for a refund and was denied.The sink handle fell off. The bath tub doesn't drain.Hotels are such a waste of money for what you get these days.

The breakfast was hot and fresh. That's pretty much all it has going for it. I was looking for something decent since I only needed a room for a few hours (had an evening corporate party and had to be back to work an hour away by 8am). I was really looking forward to taking a bath, but the bathroom smelled of urine, and the tub had what appeared to be pubic hairs in it. The room was also very hot. I turned the thermostat down, but apparently, it's just for looks or to make it appear you are doing something. I also had an issue with getting into my room. Apparently, the doors only open if you turn the handles up.

There are a lot of One Star reviews for this hotel. I'll give it two. It ain't great. Dingy, run-down, worn out. But, at the same time, the staff was very nice. Clearly they're doing the best they can with what they have to work with. Got there late, around 11:00 PM. Got checked in. Easy. Good service. Got my key. Got into my room. Seemed okay. Walked out for a minute. When I came back my key didn't work. Went to the desk. Got another key. Clerk apologized. No problem. Gave me a new key. Tried it. Nothing. Now my stuff's locked in the room and there's no way in. Shift change. No problem. Next guy shows up. He knows how to get in. Giant coat hanger. After 15 minutes, I'm in. New keys to a new room. Again, apologies and, look, the place is run down. Those guys did the best the could with what they had. New room was okay. Walls were super thin. Could hear conversations next door. Nothing loud, but still. Breakfast was about average for a Choice hotel. Friendly staff. Can't recommend the place. Could be much better with some money spent on repairs and renovation.

I’m here for a seven day stay, only reason I’m still here is because they are “doing me a favor” with the weekly rate I wanted. But this hotel is horrible. Worst stay I’ve EVER had in a hotel already in day 2, the first blanket had blood on it. I ask at 9am Monday for it to be changed. Wasn’t swapped until tuesday around 11, second blanket had to burn holes, gum and piss on it. They told me all of the blankets would be stained so “do you still want a new blanket” “they should have stains but not GUM” they said. But they changed it, and what do you know third blanket….stained. My tub floods, the back door sometimes opens without a key, sometimes doesn’t open WITH A KEY. The carpet in the halls are stained and the drywall is coming off, if I had to guess the last time it was vacuumed I’d have to say never. Honestly the staff has a unpleasant attitude towards guess complaints and unacceptable things are a “take it or be over charged for leaving “ type of deal. I’ll never stay here again, and if you have to, let it be out of complete desperation and no other choice. If I could go back I’d spend more money somewhere else to not have to deal with this place. Can’t wait to leave. $20/night is more of an accurate rate for this place, if they can’t make changes. Best part about the hotel is the location. Feels like this place would have a curfew for security purposes.

The hotel is definitely showing it's age. It looked like some of the rooms had been updated. However the one I was in was not.The carpet was stained, I tried not to use the bathroom much because it creeped me out.Otherwise it was a quiet stay and the staff there were very nice.

This is the worst rated hotel in the area for all the right reasons. The furniture is damp and moldy. The carpets are stained and moldy. The staff has no supervisor on duty and they give you the contact information of a nonexistent contact that no one answers, eventually they hang up on you and then block your number from calling. The front desk guy is a punk, he's the kind of loser who never had any authority in life so he takes his post to literal. He wouldn't identify himself but he did acknowledge that he is not the supervisor or part of management. Don't waste your time checking in here, all the hotels in Eastwood are better on every level. I'll be disputing this charge on my card for sure!

I’ve never left a hotel after checking in, but that’s what happened here. The website pictures look ok, but this was the worst hotel I’ve ever stepped into. The room walls were so thin you could hear people having conversations at the pool 60 ft away. We left for dinner and when we returned, it smelled like someone had been smoking directly in our room. It was the most unsafe feeling and rundown place. I should have taken the hints when I was checking in and there were seemingly homeless individuals coming in and taking handfuls of cream, sugar and teabags from the coffee station. I ended up leaving, and honestly would not stay there if it were free.

Horrible experience with tacky rude and cocky staff. Room remodeled inside but hallways and lobby furniture dusty and not clean. Was harassed by Jack “not giving his last name” front desk worker. No manager on duty. I was visiting my son and his father who were supposed to stay the night and did not. Some staff followed my guest and I throughout the hotel, parking lot, and the room key did not work. Jack said he purposely deactivated the key for assumptions he made. Embarrassed my son and his friend had to encounter foolishness as such! Left the Sparetime next door WHERE we had a birthday celebration and brought the food back to the hotel. Not a crime. My son is 11. No loud music or bad behavior from anyone. Was told to leave after being locked out and was not given any warning. Don’t waste your money or time dealing with these people. Loser behavior from the staff harassing paying customers and guest.
