Booked an appointment to come check out a car. Sold it by the time I got there without telling me. Just wasted my time.

I had my Volvo in the body shop for some repairs. Staff was great at communicating with me, keeping me informed and did a great job with the repairs.

Update: since I am not able to leave a response to the generic Volvo response: here is my response.
We have called- multiple time, more than I can count or remember. We have gone in to the shop, multiple times and attempted to talk with rude workers and managers. We have tried to get to resolutions and the manager stated “pick up your damn car- we can’t fix it”. Really!?!
So please don’t suggest we should call to find a resolution when we have- MULTIPLE TIMES.
If I could leave less stars, I would. We purchased our first Volvo in 2020- our car has been to the shop numerous times for the same issue that Volvo can’t figure out. They have terrible customer service, don’t call back, are apparently incompetent to fix a car.
We will not be taking our car back to this dealership. We advise others from going here as well.

My wife bought a new XC 90 in the summer of 2020. It’s currently has just around 50,000 miles on it. We have had it in the shop multiple times for brake issues alignment issues and now the technicians are telling us we need a third set of tires put on this car in less than 50,000 miles. Not only are they not fixing the car they are very poor about getting back with you. The car has been in their shop for a week and the only updates I get is when I call. It seems they are very understaffed or just poor about Communicating with the customer. On top of all this, there still telling us there’s nothing wrong with the car and that we will have to buy a third set of tires because tires are not covered under warranty. I would definitely not recommending buying anything from the dealership not only is it a pain when something goes wrong with your vehicle, but it is also the same way to get oil changes done there. It is a constant hassle for scheduling and communication.

I really like the video explaining everything they did and the condition of everything they looked at. Makes it easy to understand!

We recently purchase another Volvo from Crippen. Love the car and had a great experience working from start to finish with Howard, Mike, Brandi, and each person that helped us along the way. Good old fashioned personalized service, wow.

On time. excellent service with comfortable waiting room. The service manager was polite and helpful. No problems at all. Since my experience with their service, I ended the lease on my old Volvo and I leased a new Volvo from Crippen. They went out of their way to get me the car I wanted and then found me several credits and discounts that made the price significantly lower. Very good people to deal with!

This review was removed so I am re-submitting it.
This is regarding the 2019 Pacifica I purchased at the end of December 2022.
When inspecting the vehicle I was told by the dealer that it was sent to whoever looks at vehicles for you and the passenger monitors do not work because the remotes are not working and it would cost around $100 to get new ones.
He mentioned that the other buyer was put off by this and backed out the deal.
I purchased the Pacifica for $2,000 more than it was worth (even with everything working) This price was still better than other dealerships that had Pacifica's selling from $3K-$4k over worth (again assuming everything is working). I then traded my vehicle for $3k less than what my research showed to be a fare deal ($10K). You are now selling that vehicle for over $19K which should profit you very well.
Two or so weeks after the deal, the front screen (the one that controls 80% of the car's features) was going black. I took it to the local Chrysler service center and was told that I would need a software update. After that did not fix the issue they said I would need a new screen. They also said the back screens would also need to be replaced. The remotes were not broken.
If you sent this vehicle in and had people look at it you must have been aware of all of this.
The service center told us to inform you of the repairs since you are a reputable dealer and to see if you would help with the cost. I did so last week.
I was then informed by the dealer that the manager is not willing to contribute to any repairs. He then asked if I would like to speak to the manager and I agreed. This was four business days ago and I do not expect a call anymore.
I am writing to you now, to inform you that I nor my family members will be repeat customers. It should have been obvious when we were haggling the price and you guys wouldn't budge on $4.64. The dealer then gave us $5 to get us to the deal, but I should have walked out at that moment. (Probably a ploy to make the dealer seem to be on our side) I'm glad I didn't fall for your "service package" that I'm sure wouldn't have applied to my current situation. And even if it did, the total cost for repairs is less than the cost of the "service package".
So for myself, my wife, and our four sons (all of which will need vehicles in the future) please reevaluate your current course of business and goodbye.

Possibly the most frustrating experience I’ve ever had with a repair service. Granted, I had an older 2008 xc-90. I wanted a Volvo dealership to work on my car to keep it in good, reliable condition. I ended up selling the car because I felt I could not trust them to fix it, and I had poured in over $3000 without any results. These people are not real mechanics- just good for oil changes on leases, so don’t buy that car- turn it in for a new one Over the year I took it to Crippen, each time they kept it for 1-2 weeks, and it required a revisit to fix something . The last straw was when I had scheduled a visit for a check engine light, but in the meantime a coolant issue had developed. THEY
KEPT THE CAR FOR SIX WEEKS. Finally, they said had been fixed enough to drive while the part for the original issue came in. I drove it 10 miles and drove it back, leaking pools of antifreeze. $1700 for what? Again they “fixed it.” I absolutely let them know, and they apologized. This time it lasted 50 miles. Frustrated, I sold the car to another dealer and I bought a Toyota. Why? Their dealership mechanics have a stellar reputation, and the vehicle is popular enough that I can take it to any mechanic to get fixed. If you’ve already bought your $50k new car, trade it in when things go wonky. Crippen can’t handle it.

What a wonderful dealership where customers are treated like family! The greeter at the door, two sales people, the sales manager and the business manager all made my recent buying experience a joy. Highly recommend Crippen to all!
