“Today we had to send our girl to the Rainbow Bridge. I can honestly say that this facility treated us with kindness, compassion, and respect. When I called to make the appointment, Wendy was very sympathetic to me, listened to me and all of my concerns. She gave me multiple choices and we went with the private cremation. The staff were all so very kind. When and if we decide to get another furbaby we will definitely be coming here. I was impressed by their professionalism and care.
Edited to add photos, today I picked up our girl's cremains, I was surprised to find a beautiful box with her name on it, he paw prints and an ornaments. I cannot express how much I am impressed by the kindness.”
“Went here to get a second opinion on my dogs cancer diagnosis. The staff was very kind, fast and efficient. They confirmed the finding but didn't say to immediately put him down like the ER vet in ann arbor did. Instead, they offered steroids to help make him comfortable. And they didn't charge me as much as originally quoted due to only doing a recheck. They showed us kindness and said our sweet Tom was a handsome boy ?”

Ariel actually stepped up from my hand, to the young lady's hand. That only verify's to me how much experience the staff has with parrots and how comfortable they are with them. I feel privileged that Dr. Orosz took her time with us and decided to take Ariel under her wing. Ariel was diagnosed with Avian Ganglioneuritis. I am at ease now knowing my girl has the utmost care from such an incredibly accomplished doctor and kind staff. All of you - Dr. Orosz, staff and receptionist are wonderful. This is an update on 9/10/24. Shoreland Animal Hospital is, still and always will be the best animal hospital in Toledo ❤️. I can't say enough about their care❤️❤️❤️. I had a situation where my 10 month old Irish Wolfhound ended up needing emergency surgery after hours and Dr Brown and the staff went over and beyond to save him. He had to recover at Med Vet over the weekend and Dr Brown kept me updated over the weekend better than Med Vet. They have always been so caring when I have had to send one of my babies to the Bridge. I can't thank them enough for caring for my children ❤️”

I can’t thank VCA enough for what they did for me and my family.
We took our cat to another vet, far from home, initially, because they accepted our godawful pet insurance.
The news was bad. Very bad. We took him home for one last day of all the love and scritches, and all the treats he wanted. We cried a lot.
We called VCA the next day, and told them our situation. They managed to get us in same day.
We had to pay for another exam (good, I don’t want to be able to pay money to kill a healthy cat), and they confirmed our initial vet’s findings. It was time to let our precious boy go.
The grace and kindness they showed us…incredible. I’m not exaggerating when I say the entire care team here treated me and my cat better than I could have imagined. I had been through my mother’s loss already at OSU’s teaching hospital, and I can’t stress enough: VCA treated me better about my cat’s passing than OSU treated me about my mother’s.
They let us stay with him. They let us sing little songs and read poems to him as he left us. When we weren’t ready to go right away, they let us have another few minutes with his body.
And, as we waited outside on the curb for our Uber home, we saw them carry him over to wherever his body would be kept until being transferred to the crematory. And here’s the thing: they carried him with such love. He was gone. And they had no reason to believe we’d still be watching. And [idk the vet or vet techs name] still carried him with such love and care, close to their chest.
My memories here are terrible and painful, and I’ll still recommend VCA on Bancroft until I’m blue in the face. They were even understanding and kind when we struggled to get a ride to pick up his ashes.

“Such a great place, everybody is nice, its just very small and outdated. And they're just so pricey $120 for bloodwork just to take an antiflammatory pain med for my dog?
