“Nice little store in western Michigan. I was in Union Pier to visit St. Julian Winery, and thought since I was in the area I'd see if I could find a plant stand somewhere. (How, with the rise of plant parenting during the pandemic, is this not a more readily available piece of furniture?). But don't you worry, I didn't leave empty handed--this store didn't have what I was looking for, but it had a lot of other great stuff. It's a little confusing when you get there, trying to figure out where to go in--or if, indeed, you should go in; I was really worried I was wandering around someone's private home. I'm almost positive it *was* a private home at on time, and they've used the space in a really cool way. When you wander through the store--which is pretty large, and PACKED with stuff--you'll find furniture, candles, silverware, dinnerware, blankets, pillows, tote bags, cookie cutters, greeting cards... just about any sort of gift or houseware item you might want. They also have as a part of their business custom furniture building, and they've used one of the rooms to display the different types of wood that you can choose for your furniture. That's so creative!! I really love how in the kitchen they still have old-school appliances like a dishwasher, refrigerator... I swear, I felt like I was in my grandma's home. And the counters are also used to display merchandise. I'm honestly just so astounded by how clever they used this space to make it wonderfully inviting. The thing I don't love about this store is that it doesn't have a website for anything beyond its woodworking arm, and they don't use ApplePay. I asked about both things, because I had wanted to buy a blanket as a gift, but realized I had the household card on me instead of my debit card. So I ended up only picking up a few items and left the blanket. I know that opting against e-commerce is a deliberate choice and they clearly don't need to venture online for their business to work, but it's too bad for folks like me who don't live near and are not going to make the trip to shop there. On the other hand, it does add to the charm. Review #599 - November 18, 2021 #ThankYouThursday2021”

“We were staying at a house nearby and stopped in to see their sculptures. Martha greeted us and said viewing is by appointment only. With our charm and Martha’s kindness we toured the studio. The pieces on display were spectacular and we ended up purchasing a whimsical sculpture of a dog with miniature bones in iron with a red rust finish. Martha also has a foundation for dog rescues and we bought 2 beautiful key chains. If in the area call for an appointment and treat your eyes to creative beauty. Fritz Olsen. PS Martha also has a studio so make sure you visit her studio as well.”

“I stop at Mazet every couple months. Wonderful place with many reasonably priced items. Vintage rugs are a specialty and Suzanne, the owner, is very knowledgable, having worked for one of Chicago's best known oriental rug experts. She has a good eye for quality items and decorating ideas.”

“This is a fun store with some really unique and wonderful vintage items. Everything is nicely displayed. I stopped in at the end of the day when they were really busy with a fundraising event that was about to start, but still everyone was so helpful and nice in helping me get my things out to the Jeep. Couldn't ask for more! I live 2 hours away and it is well worth the drive.”
