To start off this review, this is just my opinion and my child never attend the Lake Orion Goddard, its just from my interaction with the administration, specifically the owner Kellie. We had our first child in December of last year, being new parents we did our best to research daycares and ended up at another daycare I don't want to mention here. But after a month we needed to find a new daycare because our child was not gaining weight, was failure to thrive and we didn't feel the daycare we started him at was providing him the medical attention he needed. So we left and were frantically trying to find a place that could meet his medical and developmental needs, we were drawn to the Lake Orion Goddard. But at the time it was almost a year waiting list and Oxford Goddard had a spot open, so being new parents and not knowing if the experience we had at the first daycare was common or just a single instance, we signed up for their waiting list and enrolled him at Oxford.Fast forward 8 months and our child is thriving at Oxford, they have a wonderful facility and staff that really care for his well being. It feels like a family there. So we decided to back out of the waiting list at the Lake Orion Goddard. If anyone doesn't know, they make you pay a non-refundable $200 fee and one month ($1795) tuition as your "commitment" to the waiting list. Which makes sense, if they have someone on the waiting list and they pull out last second, they should have the money to pay the teachers. With that being said, Lake Orion Goddard has a 1 year waiting list and we gave them a month and a half notice, so I would think there should be some room for discretion. Like I said, we are first time parents and we were just trying to do the best for our child at the time, which I think this system takes advantage of.Instead of a facility that cares about your child, its just a finical institution. They hold onto your money and earn interest all year while you wait for a spot to open. By the way when I asked Kellie where that tuition money is going, she told me she doesn't have to tell me that information. So I hope she is at least reinvesting that money into the school and isn't pocketing it.Again I have no experience with the teachers or facility, I am just writing this review to inform people of the Lake Orion Goddards practices for other parents doing their research.

We love our Goddard family!Ms. Chelsea, Ms. Brooke, and Ms. Katie make an incredible team in the PreK classroom. Our little loves dancing with Ms. Brooke and laughing with Ms. Katie. Ms. Chelsea provides incredible structure and instruction... our little self-initiates practicing his letters at home because it is FUN!Ms. Alaina and Ms. Ashley provide so much love in the Toddler classroom. When our 2.5 year old gets in the car, he says, "Go Ashley house? Go "Laina house?" (Yes, he thinks they live there.)Due to the pandemic and moving, we've been to 3 daycare centers in 4.5 years. The center is clean and well-organized. The communication with parents is excellent. The administration is approachable and helpful. The teachers make it a point to give me specific updates about my kids' days at pick up.Love, love, love.

“My kid likes to go to school, he gets excited when we pass nearby thinking he will stay at school. The teachers are loving, the director and assistant director are always helpful and smiley and the owner is always available to talk to her.”He was in Ms Vianey and Ms Denise' room, for half of the year he would talk about how Ms Vianey taught him "Wish you well song" and How Ms Denise always helped him with his lunch and gave him hugs, He was moved up the rest of the year to Ms Karlie's room where Ms Denise and Miss Tiffany help. as well, He went home for every day saying " I like my new class" for a week straight. Ms Denise is often there too, maybe helping with the transition, and Ms Tiffany is in top of things, has everything ready and says goodbye kindly when he leaves. He sometimes gets sad when he finds out we dont go to school on Sunday morning, when he asks "Why are we not ready for school?". ?

Ms. Chelsea, Ms. Katie and Ms. Brooke are fabulous Pre-K teachers! You can tell they love their jobs - a rarity - as evidenced by their always smiling faces positive attitudes and general demeanor towards the children. They appear to have a special relationship with each child including, my own. I appreciate the one-on-one attention and affection (an appropriate amount, not to coddle but encourage) given to my daughter and the extra encouragement to join in and make friends. The curriculum is excellent and my otherwise shy child, loves going to school! The Directors, Ms. Emily and Ms. Ashlyn, are always accommodating and responsive to my requests. 10/10 would recommend Goddard to anyone looking for an excellent care provider. My infant son will also be attending in the Fall.

I have had two children at Goddard for the last two years. Goddard is a long way from a "day care". Lily tested top of class in kindergarten. Classroom 8 where Leif has been attending has worked so hard to help him with his social skills that I owe them a debt. All teachers are wonderful.

I could not say enough good things about The Goddard School in Lake Orion. The staff are beyond professional and take excellent care of the kids while under their care. I highly recommend The Goddard to any new parent/family looking to send their kids someplace great.

I cannot say enough great things about this school and the teachers that work there! Our son just had his last day there after 5 years and is so sad to be leaving! The personal relationships that we have made with everyone there means the world to us. We can see the difference in our son throughout the years, he has learned so much. These teachers give above and beyond for these kids and it really shines through. We just enrolled our daughter there as well, so luckily our family gets to experience Goddard for another 5 years! :)

Both of my kids (1 and 3 years old) attend Goddard School and we love it! We’ve had a great experience on every level. They are professional, friendly and communicate very well (which can be tough because COVID prevents us from having “normal” interactions). Don’t hesitate to send your kids here!

I have nothing but the best comments about Goddard Lake Orion! My daughter has been attending here since she was 6 months old, so we have been in every room from infant to preschool. The staff has always been amazing- specifically Ms Ashlyn, Ms Elaina, Ms Cody, and Ms. Karlie!!! Emily and Kellie are equally amazing… super helpful and responsive. The facility is clean and bright- I love walking to my daughters classroom and seeing all of the art on the walls! I highly recommend Goddard!!

Both of my kids have been at Goddard School for over 2 years now. We’ve had a number of great teachers along the way. Miss Karlie is so energetic and active with the kids, Miss Cody provides such love and affection for my youngest and Miss Nicole has taught my oldest SO much! The facilities are always clean and the revamped play area in the back is beautiful!!

My kids have enjoyed The Goddard School in Lake Orion for years. They are cared for with snuggles, have friends and fun. My son has kept up on his summer reading with Ms. Bre in summer camp, and loves the fun activities. My daughter is nurtured and adores her teachers Ms. Hannah and Ms. Melissa. I am grateful we found this school for my family.

Both of our children have attended Goddard and we love it. The teachers are amazing and have taught our children so much. Our daughter had Miss Cody this summer and she was absolutely wonderful. Our daughter loves going to school every day. We couldn’t ask for a better place to send our little ones before they enter kindergarten.

Our kids have attended Goddard for 8 months and we could not be happier. The office staff are always very helpful, friendly and accommodating. Miss Melissa went above and beyond with her level of attention and care for our 4 year-old. Miss Krista and Miss Stephanie are extra attentive, providing little details about our 2 year-old's day so we could continuously hear about her progress while away from us. The daily photos and detailed reports are fantastic. Highly recommend.

Today is our last day at Goddard as we will be moving to a school closer to our house and I am so sad to be leaving. While the commute will be much better, I will truly miss the family I have gained at this school. Everyone genuinely cares and loves both of my boys and they feel safe and loved every day. Specifically, Miss Nicole and Miss Ashlyn both went above and beyond to care for my boys. Miss Nicole takes time in her preschool room to adjust her teaching style to fit the needs of each and every student. It’s truly remarkable what she has done for my four year old. When I was in bed rest miss Ashlyn waited for me every day to carry my older son to my car. Such wonderful personalized care. Thank you, everyone!

My son Jordan has gone to summer camp here for the last two years. The staff does an amazing job with making sure he still has an amazing summer vacation, while still incorporating educational activities so the kids don’t take any steps back in the summer. My Son reall loved his teacher this year Ms. Bre and made some good friends. I highly recommend their summer camp program!! Thanks again Ms. Bre and the whole staff at Goddard!!!!!
