Down-payment was made for work at my home, but a competitor provided a better price during my recission period. The law states 10 days for any payments made during the recission period to be returned. It has been nearly one month, and we still haven't recovered our deposit. I wish I had read other reviews prior to giving a deposit, as it seems this is their business model. Their slogan should be "The Lacking Integrity Guys"

We have hired MI Remodelers 3 times in the last 3 years and have been very pleased with the workmanship. We had a leak around the chimney which they repaired with a custom made piece. They completely gutted and installed a new bathroom and family room that was destroyed from a pipe leak and it looks beautiful. They also built a new deck. They were prompt and communicated with us along the way. I will hire them again

Do yourself a huge favor and find literally anyone else to do your construction project but this company! I cannot possibly articulate every detail of the incompetence that we have survived dealing with Gary and his revolving door of management and contractors. Our nightmare started when we signed a contract with MI Remodelers to do a backyard renovation in February of 2021. It is now July of 2022, and we are still getting the run around trying to get this job completed. We were pressured to allow MI Remodelers to do the demo of our yard so they could get an early start on the job and be done in roughly 8-12 weeks. Now, Gary will of course argue that he never guarantees timelines – because he doesn’t really guarantee anything. We let MI Remodelers do the demo then they proceeded to leave us with a huge dirt pit in our yard for over 6 months before any construction began. We lost an entire summer with our pool that could have otherwise been used if the demo wasn’t rushed. Why rush the demo you might ask? To collect the first installment of 40% before they disappeared.Our concrete was poured late summer and within a week the sub-contractors showed up at our door threatening to bust it all up because they hadn’t been paid – but you bet Gary was at our door to collect his check the second the concrete was on the ground. The concrete sunk in one area and significantly pools water. The cut lines of the concrete look like amateur hour. There were literally handprints in the stamping and coloring it was so bad. But guess what! Gary doesn’t guarantee concrete, so we are on our own with that.Against my better judgment, we allowed Gary the additional work of installing a replacement privacy fence and sodding the construction areas around the pool. The fence we selected and were sent was downgraded to cheap vinyl fencing that Gary will tell you we agreed to. We didn’t get much of a choice because the installation was already in progress before we realized the significantly lesser quality product they were putting in place. They installed a gate with no way to open it from the outside because we didn’t specifically ask for anything different. Common sense would tell you that you need the ability to enter and exit through a gate, but common sense doesn’t come with the package at MI Remodelers so plan on being your own job project manager if you decide to do business here. You will need to babysit every step of the process. We went through 3 contractor trips to try and get this fence sorted out and it included digging up the posts from the installation to make it right.We tried to work through these issues with Gary in a professional manner, but he continuously made promises he could not deliver on. I write this very honest review to hopefully help anyone else who may encounter this company to avoid the stress, anxiety, and disappointment that we have felt for 18 months. And no amount of money they offer me to remove this review will change my mind.

I could not be more unhappy with the service provided by Gary and his team. I put a 50% down payment in July 2021 for a 200 sq ft addition. They finished in June 2022. I slept on a mattress in my living room for 4 months waiting for them to do electrical, insulation drywall and floor. We would go weeks without hearing from them. The only thing that was done quickly was collecting progress payments.

I was getting estimates for bathroom repair. They are very thorough and their estimate covered every aspect of repairs. A tad pricey but I'm sure they're worth every penny!

I set up an appointment for 6pm with this company. I work late during the week and typically have appointments late in the day also, however my boyfriend is typically at home in the evenings. The person who was supposed to be doing my estimate/initial visit asked if we could switch the appointment to 1p, which no one in our household is available for. We stuck with the appointment at 6p. My appointment ran late and I arrived at my home 5 minutes late. I had texted the person doing the initial visit that I would be 5 minutes late, but that my boyfriend would be home. At 1804 (6:04pm), the guy doing the visit texted back saying he had already been to the house as he arrived early due to the rain (really??) and did the initial assessment with my boyfriend (who didn't set up the appointment at all - his name wasn't even on the inquiry).I was not texted that the person was going to be early. I did not consent to the person only talking to my boyfriend who was very minimally involved. I did not say it was okay to leave without talking to me, as I am the one who made the appointment. So now, I am left with a pamphlet and a "we will have a quote by next week". THIS IS SO UNPROFESSIONAL AND NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED IF WE ARE GOING TO BE DOING BUSINESS.

I keep walking into my new Kitchen and can't get over that this my kitchen! I feel like I am cooking in a magazine. No to mention the loft area they built out above our dining area. They repurposed wood from an old barn on my grandad's property and it looks better than I could imagine. Thank you to the team at MI Remodelers for taking my scatter brain ideas and turning them into this! LOOK AT THIS KITCHEN.

This company completely wasted my time!!!! their communication on what they are willing to do is terrible even after I told them what I needed done and how small my bathroom was!! They should have immediately provided that info to me or turned down!! my job from the beginning!!!! Instead they set up an appointment with my husband and I and called me the day before to tell me there base prices. They start at 5,000 just to do floor. I am pretty sure that my whole project will not cost 5,000!!! What a waste of my time!!! I could have found another company by now!!!

Excellent experience! Upon meeting with Gary, he educated me and inspired me regarding the decisions that I made on the upgrading of my home. Everyone was so professional, pleasant and timely. Will call for any work needed in the future! Have and will continue to refer anyone in need of home repairs.
