It wasn’t very good. All the wines tasted watered down and to add on to the other commenters the service was very poor. Wouldn’t recommend nor revisit.

I'm indifferent. I've been to a ton of wineries up here, including California, in the last few years. This is my first time visiting 45 because it was recommended by an acquaintance. The hostess was nice, we move into the inside, Saturday about 230pm. It was busy, but not packed. We weren't acknowledged or instructed much. Lines were confusing. We went up to the front when it was somewhat cleared. A young looking girl with brown hair was very rude. We said we were there for some tasting and she said "oh well you need to fill this out first, and then I can help you." And rolled her eyes. So we quickly filled it out cuz we were waiting before then and already knew what we wanted. Then she took our papers, I think we paid? And that was that. It was a very rude process. Her attitude and tone. Looked like she hated her job and didn't want to be there. This is first impression. The wine was okay, nothing special. I'm not impressed. Probably won't be back tbh. Get better staff with a clear vision on how to communicate and instruct customers. Confusing, rude, and off putting.

Honestly the WORST customer service our whole trip. The girl taking orders today at the bar was incredibly rude to us and even rolling her eyes. This review may have been 4 stars overall but because of her and some other staff members it’s a 2.Everywhere this weekend is busy but that does not mean you can rude to people.

This was our second visit. The first about 10 years ago. I read some not so great reviews which surprised me since we remember liking it. I’m glad we came back. The wines are some of the best in the area. The sparkling was our favorite and Skin Ferment Riesling surprised us! Highly recommend.

The well done website intrigued our visiting families and the delightful setting with a warm fire welcomed us in; however, this was not a family friendly winery. We had read most in Michigan are but the staff from the time we stepped in appeared disengaged. We felt uncomfortable and unwelcome with our children.

I came here this past week and enjoyed sitting outside in the peaceful outdoors the first time, while enjoying a delicious Eggs Benny from Fried - the food truck parked out front. Ryan & Matt were welcoming, friendly, and great chefs! Skip the food inside - try out the fresh and locally sourced food from Fried! We placed bocce which was fun, while enjoying a flight and a glass of their Peach wine, which two employees joked about how it's "not really wine, just some stuff with peaches in a glass." How inappropriate of these employees (one male with long blonde hair and Sarah). Fried, the food truck, my company, and the atmosphere outside is why there are stars on this review. I also really enjoyed my Peach wine and purchased a bottle, regardless of the comments made by staff. Sarah on the other hand, was neither bubbly or friendly the two times we were here this past week. She was inappropriate, rude, and had a very "I don't care to be here" attitude. When I asked a woman with glasses and short hair a question, and she was unsure, and we turned to Sarah, Sarah snapped back with an impolite answer. It's no wonder this place was not lively on either day, because I didn't want to communicate with Sarah either - stayed away and communicated with other employees. Aside from this rude person, I think it's important to support families and their local business - growing grapes and everything that comes with it, is hard work! Kudos to the Grossnickle Family!

Wonderful experience! Ask for Alanna. She can tell you all you need to know and taste! I loved the modern cowboy decor and intimate atmosphere. Beautiful lush views and pretty grounds to walk. I personally loved the Pinot Blanc (less sweet and a little dry) and the Pinot slushy(summer in a glass)!!!

Good atmosphere, had a food truck with tasty food outside, but I was underwhelmed by their wine choices. They supposedly have ciders, it's even on their glasses, but there was not any Cider available. The wines we tasted were ok, but nothing was good enough for me to want to make a purchase of any bottles. The staff were friendly, they had a lot of seating and a spot up top that can be rented out. Indoor and outdoor seating was available.

Came in with a group of 10. The young lady seating us was very kind and professional.... stated we could sit over in a shaded area or we could go upstairs in loft.....we chose to go inside to the loft....from there it was all downhill! They made us feel very unwelcome and were less than friendly as they were bringing our flights.Would not recommend!!!

A friend asked me if I remembered the movie with Dax Shepard where they make toilet wine. I did, and it was an accurate comparison. Not a single wine was appetizing and most were overly sweet and so on the nose I wondered if they washed the glasses with rubbing alcohol. Service was a mess with half our group getting our orders and the others left waiting and wondering. No view, no dry wines, and overcrowded. Avoid it.

Poor service and bad food. They purchased food from the local grocery store and served it in the containers. Wine taste awful. Spend your time and money somewhere else.

45 North is now on our list of favorites in the area! The wine was good with a variety of both sweet and dry. If you like sweet wines, cherries, and chocolate then you have to try their Northport dessert wine. Some drinks like that end up tasting like cough syrup, but not this guy! Smooth, rich, and just the right amount of sweet. A great middle of the road between sweet(me) and dry(my wife) is the Red Barn Red.
