I would 100% recommend renting through South Street Properties. Throughout my year long lease, maintenance requests were responded to in a timely manner and communication was positive. The properties are beautiful and well managed, great for both college students and families alike! The location is unbeatable, you will not be disappointed!

South Street Properties was a great company to lease from. The house was beautiful, unique and well maintained. The landlord was always communicative and very easy to work with! I would recommend leasing with this company for families and students in the Kalamazoo area!

We have rented from South Street for 2 years now and we love it. They are quick to fix issues and Richard is very fair with Rent and payments and such. One of the few places in Kalamazoo that allows aggressive dog breeds.

My non profit , Kalamazoo Housing Advocates, recently acquired our second office at 821 South Street. I couldn’t be more pleased with our offices spaces. The building is beautiful and accommodates the needs we have to support our clients. South street Properties have been very easy to work with. They’ve have addressed the needs we have in a timely manner and the monthly rent amount is perfect for a non profit in its infancy. Thank you so much to Richard and his whole team! This property management company/owner are innovative and ahead of the curve. Managing historical homes is a complex endeavor. Preserving the historical aesthetic all the while melding together modern conveniences. These homes/apartments are worth the view if they have availability (which if you can snag one of these units you are truly lucky)

I have rented a 1-bedroom apartment from South Street Properties for 2 years now and am scheduled to be here for the next year as well. I feel safe and comfortable where I live and enjoy the close distance to downtown Kalamazoo (allowing me to walk most places). The buildings are calm and well-maintained, despite being older houses. All interactions I have had with both the landlord and maintenance staff have been prompt and professional. I would recommend business with South Street Properties if you are interested!

Richard has the nicest properties on South St. Beautiful clean and renovated apartments with a location that can't be beat downtown! Close to dining, WMU K college and entertainment.,cis very knowledgeable

I've been a resident of South Street Properties for 2 years, and it has been a very pleasant experience. I've been incredibly pleased with my one bedroom apartment, the building itself, and it's amenities. My communications with management and maintenance have been very cordial and professional, and both have been very easy to reach and quick to respond if I have a question or concern. Finally, the location is absolutely perfect in terms of vicinity to downtown, and the greater Kalamazoo area.

I have rented from South Street Properties for the last 4 years and it has been wonderful. The owner is very professional and kind. The rent was reasonable and they take very good care of the property/buildings. If there was any issues, they would take care of it right away. They kept the yards mowed and looking great. I would recommend South Street Properties to any and everyone looking for a place to rent.

I really enjoyed the 7 years I spent living at South Street Properties. The owner is friendly and down to earth. The maintenance guys are wonderful and quick to take care of anything that needs to be done. The location is great, right downtown, a quick walk to Western. The property always looks great, prices are reasonable and everyone that works there is just exceptional. 10/10 recommend to everyone! Thank you South Street.

Southstreet is a super great location with unique, beautiful buildings. The maintenance repairs are done in a timely manner by respectful, caring maintenance men. Southstreet is a great respectful and quiet community full of great neighbors. 10/10 recommend!

South street has been so great and I highly recommend. They are so caring and patient. They are quick to fix any repairs that are needed to be done and do an impeccable job. Very on top of things and always looking for new ways to improve the community. I’ve never had any issues with them as they are always willing and wanting to help! If you’re looking for a new place to live, I would 100% recommend them. Great location as well as Kalamazoo has so many great things to offer.

south street properties is a great place to live. they keep their apartments clean and their maintenance crew is very handy and helpful as well as a reasonable and understanding landlord. one of the best parts about it is the great location right in the middle of downtown and western michigan university.
