staff here are friendly and helpful. All but one of the providers I've seen here have been knowledgeable and very easy to work with. Given that I've seen multiple providers over multiple departments, one who wasn't very good is still better than a lot of doctors' offices I've been to. I'm lucky WMU students have access to this level of good healthcare right on campus.

I started going here for counseling and psychological services and was blown away at the free resources they have here for students. They have a mind spa with a yoga room, a sensory room, massage chairs, light therapy, and a room where you can just hang out and color on coloring sheets! In the CAPS lobby, they also have interactive robotic cats and dogs you can pet and even take back to your therapy session with you. The receptionist was very kind and empathetic and helped walk me through the triage. My intake therapist was awesome and found the best counselor for me. I also attend group therapy meetings and they are awesome. I was impressed they offer counselors who specialize in DBT and ACT here! That’s awesome. They have lots of different counselors on campus, so they’re very diverse and they were able to schedule me in as soon as next week.I also coke here for my vaccines and whenever I am sick and the general doctors have also been super quick, kind, and caring. I was also easily prescribed anti-depressants and they made it very affordable for me, and I was able to quickly pick them up at the pharmacy they have here.

$155 for a 15-minute visit for the flu. I called 8 times and neither the appointment number nor the billing number ever answer the phone. Not only is the service terrible, but you will be charged exorbitantly. I would not come here in the future.

I sincerely hope no one has to go through what i went through because of them. They charged about 170 bucks for something i had not done. Called them to inquire the sindecuse people didn’t try to understand what was going on instead directly me to another department to talk to saying they were the ones dealing with billing. They treated me as international student when i repeated told them i’m not. They have not updated their system it seems. When finally the billing issue was going somewhere they called and said you have to do the procedure it is required and if you don’t we will put a hold on your account. Didn’t try to understand my situation nor tried to help me understand. Now, i have set a appointment which i don’t want to, to get the procedure done.

In Sindecuse people who have retired from Western Michigan University can no longer go and to get lab work done. Retired people used to be able to get doctor to send lab work orders Sindecuse to filled, the retired person would pay, but they no longer work with the former employees. Thanks from former employee!!!

If you are a WMU student, DO NOT go to Sindecuse. They will try to do whatever they can to squeeze every last penny out of you. Back in the Fall, I went to Sindecuse for a COVID test to ensure participation in a school-related function. I was not permitted for a COVID test until I completed a “telehealth” appointment, which was about 2 minutes long and they asked me the same three questions that we completed on our daily health screenings. I was then charged $80 for the appointment and additional costs for the test. As far as I can tell, they care more about exploiting WMU students than tending to their health.

Does not answer calls whatsoever. I’m a fully vaccinated and booster shot student who is getting emails telling me I have mandatory Covid testing. This issue is happening to a lot of people, so answer the phone and help us out.

This is the first primary care doctor I've had and still stick with. Dr. Lean is a doctor I trust, who cares about his patients (and their educational well being too). Dr. Ruggerio is perceptive, she is confident in knowing how to help and problem solve. The online health portal is convenient, and the wait times are relatively short. If you're a student, you might find Sindecuse to be the best choice for health care. Their safety measures regarding the pandemic is unparalleled and they treat co-vid cases pretty quickly.
