I don’t usually write reviews, but this was horrible. The experience was absolutely pleasant all the way until the very end. Due to insurance confusion and being fitted into incorrect lenses, we had to take the time to get the correct lenses I needed. Luna, the last employee to help me, must have been having a bad day because her service was horrible. Her computer wouldn’t work (not at all her fault), but she could not explain the bill to me. And every time we would break it down it was a different problem with the insurance policies. By the end of it, we realized in needed to be refitted. She tossed new contacts on the counter (without asking any preference of mine) into the lobby. And with a paper towel, told me to remove the contacts I had in and put the new ones in, without contact solution or giving me the opportunity to wash my hands. After talking in the back to her coworker about how it was unnecessary that I had her speak to the person who’s insurance plan I’m on, on the phone, she popped her head into the lobby and said “well, I’m going to hand you off since you don’t think I know what I’m doing” I told her I was frustrated and thank you, after waiting another 10 minutes they finally got me out. I will NEVER be back. This was horrible. I wouldn’t recommend her customer service anywhere. I walked out laughing because I never thought that would happen at an eye exam. Never again.

It’s always the person behind the counter, and the care they choose to provide, that makes ALL the difference! LuAnn is JUST that person at RxOptical. She goes out of her way to assure one has the very best of care experience from the moment they walk through the door, to seeing the technician, the doctor, to fitting one with just the right pair of glasses - she takes time to make you feel comfortable with your choice, your care, and if you have any questions. I tried other offices, other practices. This one is the one that makes you feel you matter.

Wonderfull service. Stopped in to have my broken frames repaired or replaced. Even though I had not purchased the glasses from RX they repaired them free of charge even though I I insisted on being billed. This office has the greatest service and staff.

They literally ripped me off in my opinion. I switched to this eye doctor working for PNC when my coverage changed. The building seems very professional, and the frames selection is good. My first impression of the service was far from genuine and rather cold in the lobby. My eye doctor spent about 10 minutes lecturing me about proper contact lens care. She also asked a lot of questions about how I care for my contact lenses. She insisted I opt for dailies, the most expensive option. She was aggressive in her sales approach, and made me feel extremely pressured. Being severely near-sighted and a poor college student, I do my best just to afford yearly eye exams to renew my prescription. She said I had a birth mark on my eye and that I should see an eye cancer specialist. I also was pressured into purchasing special prescription computer glasses for my job, and when I politely declined, was treated as though I were being irresponsible. Here is the cherry on top of the experience: a month later after I declined to pay to see an eye cancer specialist, they refused to give me my contact lens prescription. The girl servicing me in the lobby was quite unprofessional and rude. They literally ripped me off, having me pay for an exam, without giving me my prescription. The girl I talked to doubled the unpleasantry of the experience, and was stern, unapologetic, treating me with judgement and dismissiveness. SHE SAID SHE WOULD TALK TO THE DOCTOR AND REACH OUT TO ME ABOUT SETTING UP ANOTHER APPOINTMENT. I NEVER RECEIVED A CALL. I CALLED THEM TO SET UP AN APPOINTMENT AND THEY PUT ME ON HOLD FOR 9 MINUTES BEFORE I HUNG UP, FINISHED ENTIRELY WITH RX OPTICAL. In my opinion, one of the top 3 worst professional experiences I've ever had in my life.
