Chow Hound Pet Supplies
5097 Century Ave Suite A, KalamazooI came in tonight because two cans of Intuition cat food had black spots all over it. I was worried it was mold so I asked to talk to a supervisor. Ethan came right up and we chatted for a second. He explained that this was actually a chemical reaction but still provided different cans for me to take home.
After doing my research, he is correct!
He handled the situation very well and had another employee, Hailey, there with him.
Both were very, very kind and understanding.
High praises as I am a manager myself.
Kudos to the whole team for keeping the atmosphere very light and welcoming.
Ethan still took pictures to talk to his manager about them so the accountability part was there too. (Ps. Hailey had the most adorable pup too!)

Platinum Paws
6545 Stadium Dr, KalamazooHands down the best growing and customer service experience here ?. Jessica is amazing and so willing to make accommodations when necessary. I had my fur son, Thor groomed and de-shedded here several weeks ago and he came home as soft as he was when he was 10 weeks old!! I’ve taken him to Petsmart groomers and Tractor Supply to wash him myself and neither I nor Petsmart achieved that. Thor came back like a new pup and I will forever be a customer based on the experience and amazing customer service. Thank you Jessica and your stellar team!!!

6058 S 12th St, KalamazooCouldn't have been a better experience! Amazing staff, clean and inviting office atmosphere, great care and commitment to their clients and the animals.
After several phone call to get my sick dog into a new vet (mine left the practice) I was giving up hope someone would help get him in. The receptionist, Tina was the first person I spoke to who actually offered help right away and suggestions. I was luckily able to get in the same week. I had amazing service by everyone that helped him and the vet (owner) couldn't have been better. Everyone was supportive and made my very stressful week easier. This small business is definitely impressive! I will be returning here for all my vet needs and highly recommending them to everyone.

Mosel Animal Clinic
413 W Mosel Ave, KalamazooMy dog had a lump on his leg that we were 'watching.' It started to grow and the vet said he did not believe it was a lipoma and it had to go now. We scheduled surgery, three weeks later or so the lump was removed and biopsied. It came back as a low grade sarcoma, rare in dogs. The vet gave the news in the best way possible, honest but hopeful. The tumor may not grow back. It may grow back. If it does, we will have to make a serious decision about his leg. My dog is middle age, not old but definitely not a young dog. The vet gave me a lot of hope that IF we have to cross that bridge, this is what we would expect and he gave me reassurance about the procedure. He was knowledgeable and kind, and again, Hopeful. If you ever have to receive bad (to really bad) news from a vet, Dr. Buckley would be the one I'd want to get it from. A week before Christmas, I cannot express how much his kindness means. And he was definitely right, that tumor had to go asap.
The cost for the surgery was reasonable, not as low as the previous vet but lower than most operating in the twenty first century. Lol.
My only complaint, there's always something I suppose... I don't like the candle in the waiting room. I have asthma and I don't tolerate strong fragrance in a small area. A great vet experience, candle excluded. :-)
I hope for many more years with this practice under the care of Dr. B.

Pet Vet Family Pet Care Center
229 S Drake Rd, KalamazooAs a new client, I was able to have my pet seen within just a few days. I had visited a new veterinary concern, the only one in the Kzoo area that currently offers emergency pet care, and walked out after less than 20 minutes of walking in, and hopefully will never have to return there.
PV Center have a friendly and caring staff.

Kalamazoo Cat Hospital
5263 W Kl Ave, KalamazooMy cat was recently seen by Dr. Hammel. I’ve never had a vet take such care with one of my pets; he took time to coax my cat out of her crate rather than just take her out, and he showed me how to help keep her distracted and happy while he performed his exam and gave her shots. My normally tentative cat was calm the whole time and didn’t run back to her crate as soon as she had a chance.
I also appreciated how he offered a non-medication solution for a behavioral issue that I raised but also acknowledged that medication could be appropriate.
This was my second visit; at my first, my cat was seen by Dr. McFarlan, who listened to my behavioral concerns, explained what might have been causing them, and offered a number of solutions (again, starting with non-medication options but mentioning medication may be a future option if there was no resolution).
The rest of the staff, receptionist(s) and vet assistants, that I’ve interacted with are all very kind as well.

Camp Fido Dog Daycare
8661 Stadium Dr, KalamazooWe love Camp Fido! We always trust them with our dog and it's her favorite place to go probably in the entire world! Whenever we say "you wanna go to camp?" she will jump up and start howling to go. They are very detail oriented and know the needs of each dog (ours is a mud eater and they always remember that so she doesn't eat mud like she has at other daycares). They give you daily report cards that we always look forward to getting. They are just the best and always keep our mind at ease that our dog is being taken care of!

Taco Bob's
4121 Portage Street, KalamazooIf you're craving cheap, filler food, we've got a winner! The beans are chunky but a little on the dry side. I ordered the wet burrito with extra mild sauce but didn't get the Xtra. The sauce is necessary or you won't be able to swallow a bite. I LOVE the chips!! Those chips are as big as your palm, thin, crispy and just the right amount of salt. I was looking to get full and I did.
Parking: Parking lot is small but I've never not found a spot. This place does mostly take out and drive thru.
