I’m from Massachusetts and recently drove to Kalamazoo to visit family.When I arrived my car began to leak fluid and left a big 2 foot circle under the car. I moved it and it left another big circle.I called my mechanic back east and showed him pictures of the leak and where it was coming from. He was almost certain it was the heater core.My son in law recommended I take it to Performance Plus. After extensive pressure testing and troubleshooting they told be the vehicle was completely free of any type of leak.They told me it was condensation, and explained how it came about. The mechanic was kind, and very thorough in explaining it all to me. The front office was exceptionally friendly also.It’s refreshing to know that there are auto repair shops around that prioritize honesty and integrity in their customer relationships.I was in a situation where I could have easily been taken advantage of.Thank you Pertormance Plus. You are 100% my recommendation for auto repair in the Kalamazoo area.

Sam and Bill saved the day..great service....needed my work truck before this up coming snow storms and Sam fit me in the next day...fair price on labor and parts.I used to use Allens when it was here this is the first time with the new owners..I'll definitely patronize them again

The whole staff was wonderful and polite. My transmission went out and they were always willing to work with me on finding a solution. Whether it was to repair or scrap. They allowed me to let my car sit on-site for a few weeks as I made a decision for my best option: Never giving any pressure or extra charges during that period. Totally recommend them for their services.

They are prompt, quick, efficient, reliable, and priced better than any other shop I’ve been to.The technicians go above and beyond to make sure all their work is thoroughly completed and done properly. We have had 2 vehicles serviced here. We recently had a 'no start' at a grocery store, and after having the vehicle towed to Performance Plus, they diagnosed and fixed the problem the next day. We are very happy with the work done here, prices are reasonable, and the staff is friendly.

Dave and the owner(when I’ve dealt with him) are the only two helpful people in building everyone else just says “ we can’t do it” or whatever else they say, even though their boss told me personally they could and quoted me for it….Services: Vehicle Inspection

This happened months ago, but I had an old car break down when driving back from Detroit to Chicago. Performance Plus was able to take my car in on extremely short notice. Unfortunately, the car could not be saved, but they quoted me with a repair cost and recommended me to a junk yard when we decided not to keep the car.The employees were very helpful and kind both on the phone and in person with my dad when he came to drive me home. I was staying in hotels in Kalamazoo and had my car towed there, talked to them about repairs, and was connected with the junk yard all over the phone. They were responsive. I never had a chance to meet them in person. They were very trustworthy the whole time and I was able to make payments over the phone too. The junkyard they referred me to sent me a check for the car a few weeks later. I trusted Performance Plus in a bad situation in an unfamiliar city and they didn't let me down. I would recommend them for all kinds of automobile services.Services: Transmission

wouldn't recommend. came there to get my transmission changed. was rebuilt and was messed up i told him i want a used 05 trans put in it because the car is weird about the trans he said he can find the issue. called me a few days later saying the internals are bad and he wont open it up and that id have to pay 5500 for a new trans. but makes me mad is he said he could find out the issue, he couldn't. and before he start he could have told me that 1. he wouldn't put a used one in had to be one of his. 2. that he wouldn't open the trans to begin with. told him very detailed about the story of the car with all of the paper work. i also had a 1200$ fiber glass hood on that needed to be adjusted i asked them to fix it and he said they would. they didn't. all they did was slam it down which only cracked the hood on the seem.. also told me the car was stalling. never had the issue and still doesn't. told me the tune to go to e-85 would be 1300. when its 500 anywhere else. also i noticed right after i got it back that my car was making front end noises and now my car shifts harder. i am assuming they were doing burn outs and beating on it.Services: Transmission

I've gone to Performance Plus a few times and each time was a great experience. They are timely- vehicles were finished when they said they would be. Prices were more than fair and everyone working there is friendly and professional. I used to take my vehicles to the dealer only which one time resulted in waiting 2 weeks before they began to work on it. These guys are much better than the service at the dealership and the work is superior. I would highly recommend this establishment for all of your auto needs.

This place is awful. I’m shocked by the positive reviews… they obviously did not deal with the owner. He’s extremely rude, zero customer service skills and will hang up on you if you even ask him questions because he’s too self conscious and takes any questions as personal insults. The guy who works at the front (Dave I think his name is) was great. The owner should promote him and he should stop dealing with people since he’s an insecure man who doesn’t know how to properly treat paying customers. Again, surprised by the positive reviews… maybe they’re fake.Service: Auto maintenance

Bill the whoever was very rude to me. Im a lady who dosent know much of cars and hed get all pisted and yelling at me if i asked questions. Everyone else was nice. But if you go there with warrenty make sure it covers fluid. 449.00 for fluid 34.00 a quart of transmission fluid. My warrenty said Bill never asked for fluid coverage. Or they would of covered it.Service: Transmission
