We had a great experience at the member center located in downtown Kalamazoo. I came into the center with my toddler to simply make a deposit. I inquired about opening up another account and Wesley quickly came to the rescue. Within about 10-20min, he opened a new account, converted an old savings account into a money market account, and open a CD for me. Oh, they also matched the rate on the CD. He was efficient and very knowledgeable. Additional, Jake played football with my son, offered him snacks, and access to the white board, while Wesley got me all squared away. My son and I left the member center feeling like more than just a customer. Thanks, Wesley and Jake!!

I've been a member of Honor for more than 20 years. Unfortunately, as they have grown larger with M&A's, customer service has taken a backseat. None of my debit cards the last ten years have made it to their expiration date due to hacking. I'm pretty selective about where I use it and what security the business has. So recently when my card was hacked, while out of town at a conference by some bad actor/business not related to where I was, the card was shut down. The person I dealt with in fraud (can't say worked with) told me it was my fault because I use it. Hmmm... So, my financial institution is recommending I not use the tools they offer? Also, they wanted me to just go around where I was and find one with reciprocity. No offer of a list or help. The previous hack had occurred maybe four months previously. At that time, I was told the reason for the increased hacks was for a reduction in security on their side. Pretty frustrating to have to replace cards on a four to six month basis, get a new card, and update legitimate businesses with the information and worry if my overall PI is being protected.

This place has a really great atmosphere and customer service. I came in to get a new debit card and asked about setting up a business account. Even though I didn’t have all the necessary documents ready they let e use the internet for quite a while to work on getting those materials. The vibe is coffee shop + Internet cafe where folks get serious work done

I worked with Wes at the connect center on setting up a HELOC loan after needing some roofing & HVAC repairs. Wes and team were easily the friendliest and most competent banking team that I've worked with. The process was easy and they even gave me insight into how I could use my loan to consolidate debts. Wes and Dan over at the Connect Center Downtown Kalamazoo have been so helpful to myself and both my business.They're meeting space has been a lifesaver for important client meetings, and they always have been able to connect me to the right people at the right time when it comes to any type of banking or financing needs.They have worked with several of my clients as well to help open up business accounts for them and get them lines of credit.There hasn't been a day that I've gone in where they were ever in a bad mood (this is sometimes rare to find at credit unions and banks). They always uplift my team and all the other entrepreneurs that walk in and out of their doors on a daily basis. Thank you both for all of your support and kindness!
