Horrible heat issues/changed rooms twice! Finally got a room with the heat working right! Probably need to change vents In this facility!!! Good rooms otherwise/good cleaning staff/ok front desk attendees/great restaurant and host was nice and attentive! Issue with mailing out my holiday cards- white girl at front desk had no clue and didn't take envelopes stating they have never taken a customer's mail......the post man comes DAILY! So if they drop off they pick up! We travel monthly and I always mail out cards, leave the cards at the front desk of other hotels with no problem-ALWAYS! She even asked another "manager" and he had no clue and she was telling someone else about they don't have extended stay ppl there to take mail (we stayed 3 weeks) We had to drive to the post office and when we asked their procedure when going to hotels we were told the post man will take the hotel mail and any other mail as long as it has stamps on it which mine did!Nearby activities: Alot of restaurants (stay away from Texas Corral) and many shopping places and grocery stores....right at the highway!

First of all, my room was lovely, the bed was perfect, the common areas very nice, and breakfast was delicious. I was visiting a relative at Rose Arbor Hospice, a quick .5 mile walk away, so incredibly convenient as I was without a car. Shopping was also walking distance away.Second, during my visit I had a crazy problem with my knee, and while standing in the lobby suddenly could not walk - at all. So all that walking distance stuff was just as suddenly irrelevant! The hotel staff sprang into action, practically carrying me to a couch, getting my knee elevated, bringing me ice and Tylenol while I waited for my cousin to take me to the ER.A special shout out to Crystal, the angel who checked on me constantly and was there the next morning to help me navigate getting breakfast with my new cane and knee stabilizer.My visit was only for overnight, but I will not forget the kindness shown to me at this lovely hotel.

For a newer Holiday Inn, this one is not aging well. The rooms are a bit worn and not as clean as they should be. The restaurant/bar is very basic with a very limited menu. The charge $11.99 for a breakfast buffet that is the quality of what you get at a Holiday Inn Express and on top of that, you get to put it on a paper plate.One item that I really hated is that the water is so soft that you never feel like you have the soap rinsed off. It also makes the shower floor very slippery.

First of all, I was supposed to have received an email when my room was ready in order to check in. I did not. Luckily, we didn't have to wait in line too long to check in. However, any time waiting in line was unpleasant because the hotel lobby smelled like a sewer.The hallway on our floor also smelled of sewer. Once in our room, the sewer smell was gone but we found the following: a dirty toilet and floor, no bedding on the sofa bed (was told I had to come down to the front desk to get it), a weird strobe-like light on the smoke detector that was an annoyance all night long, no Kleenex available (I asked, none in the entire hotel?), missing trash cans, and a warm refrigerator. The couple things I brought to staff attention were met with disinterest, so I gave up.Check out was odd; no bill slipped under our door, no email. I stopped by the desk on our way out and was told they just needed our room number. I looked for an email later on and did not get one. I received no receipt. I only know they charged my card because I checked my bank's website. Wish I could give this hotel zero stars for service because that's exactly what we received.

Came here with family for the weekend. Their double bed room was dirty with unmade beds and they had to get a new one. Our room with king size bed was fine but was missing sugar/creamer packets for the coffee in the room.The bed was comfortable but the pillows are so flimsy as to almost be non-existent, like air just pushed to the side as soon as you put your head on it and the blanket kept slipping out of the duvet cover and onto the floor. Otherwise the rooms were nice. The room shades made it so dark in the room. I like all the little cubbies for storage and hooks to hang things on. It was a decent place to stay, they just need to get better housekeeping.One of the roads to get to it isn't lit up real well so if you're traveling at night you might just drive right past it. I think they need to put up a lighted sign or something to indicate where to turn.

Bar none the worst hotel stays ever. Previous guest's leftovers in the mini fridge. Pull out sofa bed had no bedding in the room. Breakfast was stale and terrible and 11.99 a pop. Complimentary at every other hotel I've stayed at. Especially at this price point. Pool was broken. 0/10 recommend to frienemies only.

Let's see.... for the price of the room I feel there should have been more. I had no towels . Which I had to grab from the front desk. I have asked for a t.v. remote that is missing twice now over two hours. I've moved the dresser and the stool for putting on my shoes in order to have a place to eat my dinner. For 20 dollars more a night, in another hotel not far from here I had a full kitchen.. a couch and 5 chairs with a table and a separated bedroom with separated vanity and closet.. I will never return here.Noteworthy details: The service was subpar by far.. very disappointing

The room and hallway felt grimy. I touched the windowsill at three a.m. and it was dusty. The cold air return was dusty, ugh. The person checking us in was pleasant, but either didn't know much or didn't care. Not welcoming. My husband uses a walker and I asked for a room near the elevator. She put us at least fifty yards from the elevator. The hotel did not appear crowded at all. We left after one night though we had reservations for two. The chopped (or maybe it was Cobb) salad was good but the chicken on top was cold and rubbery.

A room with two queen beds only had 2 towels. Asked for 2 more and they said they would bring up....they didn't. Went down in the morning and asked again, but the only towels she could find were wet. Offered no solution so now the four of us are deciding who showers.

I've never been more frustrated with a hotel in my life. Booked a king room days in advance before my arrival from out of state. Everything was confirmed and I even received a you're all set with a "Guaranteed room" email with my reservation. Drove 5 hours to be told when I got there at check in that they overbooked and had no room for me... I never received an email or a phone call so no heads up. Completely unacceptable and left a solo woman traveling alone with nowhere to stay late at night. The man running the front desk was also beyond rude and not helpful at all. Not willing to offer any help or hotel names in the area that I could try. Only could offer me the managers number who mind you wouldn't even answer until the morning. Then he hid in the back room for hours leaving me in the lobby trying to find a plan B. Not sure how if you have a guaranteed booking they can give away your room with no warning. Beyond disgusted with the way things were handled and will never stay at one of these locations again.

This is for Holiday Inn Kalamazoo West (1247 Westgate Dr. to clarify as there are 2 Holiday Inns in this area right across from each other)... Consumer beware, especially those booking for sport tournaments or conferences- I am very patient these days due to the current environment, but issues at this hotel run far deeper than Covid related staffing challenges- from the very outset, with making changes to the reservation in advance was not able to reach a front desk or reservation agent for days- they just did not pick up the phone and let it ring (when eventually got a hold of someone their excuse was "I wasn't working last shift." No offer to look into it). When I called the main IHG reservation number, waited on hold for 45 minutes, then they said they had to call the hotel front desk and when the did, there was no answer. They said I had to call back later, and when I asked to speak to a supervisor, was just transferred back to the automated system to start all over again. Upon checking in at 5 PM (check in time is 3 PM, 2 hours earlier), room was not ready. There was no breakfast set up at 7 am- and when it eventually was, fruit was old and discolored, toast was old (stiff). When asking for a bagel when they had run out, gave me a hard time. Pool is so over-chlorinated/ chemicals that our guests had to rinse their eyes from the burning (and my eyes burned just sitting in the room). While the hotel may seem new, it is not run well with a real disregard for the customer. I rarely write reviews, but felt I just had to share this experience.

They were not very accommodating. The receptionist promised me that room would get towels replenished and my sheets changed. I even gave him a $20 bill as a tip and I told him that it was very important that I get this done. It did not get done.

The manager of this hotel was very kind and helpful during a tumultuous time for me. Being displaced from a home fire was awful, but the staff at this location were so friendly and the service was great! I felt really comfortable and clean at this location, which was a relief because they were hotel #5 at this point. With covid, the service was just mildly delayed but bearable. I was refreshed with thorough and accurate billing, assured and consistent accommodation and a clean and comfortable room! Thank you!

This is a pretty nice née place. The staff was really helpful and the rooms are kept up. It's also quiet and centrally located. I'd recommend the place if you are in town.
