Absolutely atrocious customer service. You work in the hospitality industry. Help make your customers lives easier.. making my elderly mother jump through hoops due to a policy that doesn’t exist at any other Marriott property in the country is ridiculous. Horrible experience and grateful to never have to come here again.

My experience wasn’t horrible except for the fact that the beds were stained and the water was green. this is nasty i didn’t want to shower. Disgusting do not recommend if you care about basic hygiene. Also it smells horrible.

Check in was fine. It was all downhill after that. Key cards wouldn’t let us into the hotel. New key cards wouldn’t let us into the room. No exhaust fan in the bathroom. No continental breakfast. Food was expensive for a buffet. The hotel charges a deposit of $100 per stay, but fails to refund the $100 upon checkout. However we stayed 2 days and were charged $100 per day. $200 was taken out of our bank account. Nowhere on their website did it say, nor were we informed at check in, we would be charged daily. Also we were not informed our deposit wouldn’t be refunded at checkout. At checkout we were told we would be refunded in 3-5 business days. We have stayed at other hotels that charged deposits and have always had our deposit refunded at checkout. We will not be staying here again nor will we book with any hotel associated with Sheraton.

We were in town because we had family in the hospital who had been transferred from where he lived an hour away. We were so grateful to find a clean hotel with friendly staff conveniently located near the highway. We were overwhelmed with gratitude when they were flexible with our checkout based on the hospital discharge decision.

Close to the airport, but you don't hear any planes, which is very good. However, you are close to the highway, so you hear the traffic and trucks all night from the higher floors.Hotel staff is awesome!Food & drinks: Breakfast is a flat rate of $15, but the food is OK.The evening dinner and bar weren't available each night because staff didn't show up.

Martha and Jose are amazing! I stopped Martha in the hallways and asked her for a few extra towels. She was so helpful and was able to switch out a few towels for me. When my family left for the day we arrived back to our room feeling and smelling so refreshed like it was a new room! Before we left I went and found Mrs Martha and gave her a tip personally for her kindness and cleanliness during my stay. Thank you Jose and Martha for being apart of such a lovely hotel!Rooms: Rooms were so clean. Housekeepers Martha and Jose definitely deserve a praise for their hard work and dedication to their job.

The hotel is definitely dated. However, it is very close to both the shopping area in Portage and downtown Kalamazoo. The supervisor, Nula, was able to recommend us a tasteful but affordable local restaurant. She also recommended we visit some really beautiful local nature areas that we hadn’t known about prior to booking. My husband and I really enjoyed how personable the service was throughout our stay!

Definitely an old/aging hotel, needs up keeping. It's got some creepy vibes. Staff was nice at check-in though. Walking into the room the light switch by the door only turned on one light and the rest of the room was in complete darkness. I had to walk across the room in the dark to switch on a table lamp. The space is large, but the furnishings are very dated. Redeeming factor is the bathroom seems newer than the rest of the room which is important. The gross part is water was YELLOW and GREEN. Gross. Was too grossed out to shower and brushed my teeth with bottled water. Thank goodness I was only staying for one night only. I don't know what to expect from a small hotel in a small city like Kalamazoo, Michigan but there you go. This was the "best rated" hotel for a less than $200 per night. One star for hotel in poor condition. One star for friendliness of staff.

We stayed 8/18 (not by choice). Was assigned a room, get to the room and someone was already occupying the room. Pretty scary we totally walked into this persons room. Between leaving the elevator and finding out someone was in the room we were assigned was about 45 seconds.. someone had clam baked the elevator with a blunt or a roach within the 45 seconds. I’m not making this up. Get to our room, it’s dark and musty. The “newly renovated” had unpainted caulk in the corners, the bathroom door hardware was not installed properly, the shower valve hardware was not even fastened the screw was hanging out by 1”. I could feel the springs in the bed, totally grossed out. The small yard they have was partially mowed, fence falling over at the restaurant attached. I would not recommend and I don’t write reviews so I’m passionate about this one.

Stayed here for the night while in town, after reading reviews was kinda Leary about the condition of the rooms and what kinda mess it might be ,but to my surprise the room was actually kinda nice (426) the bed was very comfortable, the room faced towards I-94 was surprised the noise from the traffic wasn’t really noticeable like some reviews stated, bathroom was nice good size ,good hot water, good size parking lot ,didn’t stop down for breakfast, have a small bar near lobby ,pet friendly only paid 40$ pet fee (have a 32 pound Frenchie ) not sure if it goes by size or not ,front desk staff was nice ,pleasant, close to restaurants a few miles away, would stay again, overall not a bad place to stay

I rarely stay at Marriott but this one surprised me. The service was great. The room was nice and the area near by had lots of restaurants.

Awful hotel. I spent $700 for two nights and couldn’t be more displeased. The hotel is super outdated, the front desk doesn’t really know what they are doing. The carpet in the hallways is super dirty. Our room smells musty and our bathroom smells sour. I have called the front desk twice to ask that they have a look at our bathroom as the sink doesn’t drain and the shower curtain in beyond gross and smelly and no one has bothered to come. The second time, I actually went to the desk to ask and still nothing. I can’t believe for the price, how terrible this is. I don’t normally leave bad reviews, but this is so deserved, I’m a Marriott gold member so I stay at this chain very often and have never seen anything like this in all my stays.

Not once did any staff member say hello or welcome to the Four Points. Even at check-in the person just said "checking in?" Stays at other Four Points locations have been wonderful and the staff were very friendly and helpful but not here in Kalamazoo. A very odd "vibe" at this location. Would not return.
