No stars! I don’t use this term loosely, but it’s the conclusion I have come up with it. I believe I was racially profiled at 5/3 bank in Kalamazoo Michigan on East Michigan. I was withdrawing money from my account. I had proper ID, and have had the account for more than 7 years. Rebecca asked me, what I was planning to do with my money? Why did I have an account there and many other questions. She gave me my money…. Then Asked if I wanted an envelope? I had a panic attack in the bank. I asked her why she was asking me these questions? I told her, no one had ever asked me questions like that. I began to tear up. She said she was surprised, no one ever asked me. I could not tell if she was helping me or berating me. I told her if she had personal questions for me, then she should have recommended a private banker or an office. After I left she put a security hold on my account. Is this normal?

I'm torn because every interaction with every teller I've ever had here has been outstanding, truly. The actual bank itself though is terrible, especially the corporate customer service people on the phone. If you are the kind of person who needs access to your money and wants to be told the truth about where it is and where it is going and when it will be available, don't count on 5/3. They couldn't even mail my debit card to the right address. Terrible mobile customer service, even got hung up on. Lastly, the guy who set up my account told me it was impossible to overdraft and now I have over-drafted. The corporate customer service call center people don't know the knitty-gritty.

I started a payment processing system at 5/3rd for my new business with Ryan Gleason. 5/3rd had a great business reputation in my mind before this experience. However, my account wasn’t properly handled leaving me with two open accounts, therefore charging me double the processing fees. After months of trying to get some assistance I have repeatedly been ignored and had to discover on my own I hadn’t signed up for a 5/3rd service at all and was sold a account from a 3rd party vendor. The experience had been terrible, months long and still unresolved. Do not handle business here, it will loose you time and money.

I wanted to deposit money into a account and i was denied. I’ve been to this bank before and was never denied. She also told me it was their policy not to deposit money.. without the knowing the account number.. but i knew the last 4 digits of the social and also the street and address..

This location closes at 12 pm on Saturdays I pulled up at 1156am. I know that is cutting it close. But I pulled into the drive through. The lanes still said open. So I go up to the lane and right then they returned all the canisters and closed the blind as if I wasn't there BEFORE NOON. It was very rude. And when I pushed the button I was ignored . I worked in customer service I do understand people are ready to get off work. But to close your blind and pull in the canisters while a customer is there. Before the scheduled close time is rude and unprofessional.

Nicest bank employees I've ever dealt with.

I always get really good service at this location. It doesn't ever seem to be extremely busy, I'm in and out pretty quick, and there's always a smiling face to greet me. They never push me about services that I may need (which I have encountered at other banks, and credit unions). Their ATM sometimes doesn't accept all of the cash that I deposit (the only reason I'm deducting one star). This is my branch of choice when it comes to 5/3.
