I recently went to Fields fabrics (as I often do) to purchase quilt fabric for a new grandchild’s birth. I was having difficulty with matching pattern and other fabric choices with a Laurel Burch out of print fabric I had purchased on Etsy.What wonderful help I found in Chelsea who took over an hour of her time to patiently look with me and discuss a plan I had in my head and make it come “alive”!Thank you Chelsea (with random input from Beth)?. It’s customer service like this that they so happily and kindly provide that keep me coming back and excited about projects to create by hand.❤️ ❤️

Dangerous. This place is dangerous. I had no plans to spend any money, but I went in. The selections were too powerful for me. I have no concrete plans for the yards I purchased but they're gorgeous and they're mine. The staff was very helpful too, kind and willing to listen to me almost sleep talk about possible projects. 10/10, very dangerous and will absolutely go again

First I don't sew - I staple. I had recently moved to Kalamazoo and found Field's when I was just driving around. I'd already visited their competitor (begins J ends with N) and they were neither affordable nor friendly.I walked in yesterday looking for a unicorn fabric that existed only in my head. A lady behind the counter said "Can I help you find anything?" I've heard that line before - I tell them generally what I need and they point. She walked out from behind the counter and took me directly to the fabric style I was looking for, asking me along the way what my project was and generally the type of look I was going for. When I stumbled, she didn't seem to mind and instead, took it as a challenge darting from section to section bringing me samples.She enlisted the help of another lady and like a baton, passed the challenge on. She listened to what I said and then said "I think I know exactly what you want." She disappeared into the back room and brought out a unicorn. I was floored. Unfortunately, it was on hold and she took my name and number.I'd barely gotten my car unloaded from a day of treasure hunting when she called with the good news. I went back and they remembered me! I know it was only 20 or so minutes, but I've been in some stores several times and it's like groundhog day. The original lady took her time inspecting every square inch of this end bolt like she was buying the fabric for herself.That was a great day made perfect by my new Field's Fabrics Friends (FFF)! I don't know how much more fabric I'll need in my life, but I know they are the only ones who will get that business.If you want to think customer service is dead and buried, that's fine, but before you give up all hope, walk into this store.

It was wonderful! The clerk came out on the floor as soon as I entered and asked if there was anything she could help me with. I didn't catch her name but I was looking for material to fill a designed pillowcase with. She showed me my options and found exactly what I needed and it was 30% off!! If I am ever in need for sewing materials again, I will definitely go here again!!

I love to shop here. They have a great selection of high quality fabric. I've been shopping here for years and the clerks are always friendly and helpful. They will help you figure yardage or lay out your pattern if you need it.

Good selection of Batik fabrics, although they don't have wide back Batiks. Was pleased to see that older fabric did not get the sell price increased to match new fabric from the same manufacturer.

Ok I am not a seamstress. But from time to time I need some cloth etc and I come here. Large selection. Staff very friendly, efficient and helpful. And today I walked out laughing about a joke - bonus.
